For the first time since 1986, an NHL game will have five 100+ point scorers playing in it. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Nathan MacKinnon, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Mikko Rantanen have all hit the century mark this season — their success is a reflection of how talented the Oilers and Avalanche are offensively, and that ‘s exactly what you can expect in this matchup tonight: an offensive showdown.
Both teams still have something to play for; each seeking first place in their own divisions — the Oilers in the Pacific and the Avalanche in the Central.
The last time these two teams met there were 11 goals scored, and I expect another barnburner tonight in Colorado.

Oilers vs Avalanche best odds
Oilers vs Avalanche picks and predictions
The Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche are two of the most exciting NHL teams to watch and that’s largely due to their talent offensively — but not only the superstars, all four lines on each team can put the puck in the net.
Edmonton has had the most consistent offensive production all year long, currently leading the NHL, averaging 3.98 goals per game while also skating to the league’s best power-play percentage, currently at a 32.5%. The Avalanche haven’t been as consistent, but they’re scoring 3.35 goals per contest and have the league’s fifth-best man advantage unit at 25.1%.
Both teams have been playing extremely well as of late, each entering this game on significant winning streaks. The Oilers have won seven straight games and are 9-0-1 in their last 10, while the Avalanche have won five straight, at 8-2-0 in their last 10.
Everything is clicking for the Oilers and Avalanche right now, especially when it comes to scoring goals, and with both motivated for this matchup, I think we’re going to see a ton of offense in this game.
Give me all the goals.

Oilers vs Avalanche moneyline analysis
The Oilers have not had the best of luck when taking on the Avalanche in the previous couple of seasons. Both meetings this season between these two teams have gone to overtime, with the Avalanche winning both of those battles — dating back to last year’s Western Conference Finals, the Avs have won six straight.
This Oilers team feels much different from last year’s — its issues have always come from goaltending, but Stuart Skinner and Jack Campbell have done everything in their power to help this team succeed. They haven’t announced a starter as of Tuesday morning, but both guys have been playing excellent. Skinner’s 5-0-1 in his last six starts, boasting a 2.14 goals against average and a .919 save percentage with one shutout as well. Campbell is 4-0-0 in his last four starts, with a 2.20 GAA along with a .930 SV% and he has also recorded a shutout in that span.
The Oilers are the healthier team right now, as the Avs are still missing key pieces like Gabriel Landeskog and Cale Makar. I like the Oilers to exorcise some demons tonight and get the win.
Oilers vs Avalanche Over/Under analysis
The factor that separates teams like the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche is the consistency of their star players. Their big guns always show up when they are needed most, and I have absolutely zero doubt that Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will have a night tonight, as well as Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.
In their last 10 games, McDavid has recorded six goals with 11 assists, Draisaitl has tallied seven goals and 13 assists, Nugent-Hopkins has scored six goals and added 13 assists.
In the same 10 game span, MacKinnon has scored nine goals with nine assists, and Rantanen has tallied seven goals with 10 assists.
All of the stars have been contributing, and I expect them to do the same once again tonight. Not only the individual players, but the teams as well. In their last five games, the Avalanche have scored 24 goals and the Oilers have tallied 20, so both teams are hot right now. This is going to be a fun one.
