Jack Eichel is leading the way for the Vegas Golden Knights this season, boasting 54 points in 43 games. The large majority of those points have been assists, with 43 helpers spearheading the superstar's resume.
Despite that split, Eichel has been listed as high as -225 to record a point (-188 at FanDuel) but just barely below even money for an assist.
Eichel has recorded a point in 31 of his 43 games this season and 28 of those contests included at least one assist. He’s scored a goal without a helper in just three games this season.
Given those splits, a 65.28% implied probability for a point but just 50.50% for an assist doesn’t make much sense.
The Carolina Hurricanes are favored in this one and are a bit stingy in terms of goals against, but they still allow 2.78 goals per game and Eichel had both a goal and an assist in Vegas’ 5-2 loss to Carolina back in November.
