The St. Louis Blues are rolling as winners of 10 straight, and we expect Jordan Kyrou to remain the focal point of their offense in Pittsburgh.

The playoff races in both conferences are heating up, and there are postseason implications in all nine games on the ice tonight.

My favorite NHL player props for tonight’s action are headlined by a mismatch featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins and St. Louis Blues.

Best NHL player prop bets for April 3

Jordan Kyrou Over 2.5 shots on goal (-130 at bet365)

The Pittsburgh Penguins have surrendered the fourth-most shots per game (30.5), and they hit the highway to face the rolling St. Louis Blues and go-to shooter Jordan Kyrou tonight.

Kyrou has recorded three or more shots in four straight games to climb to 45 of 76 for the year. He paces the Blues in shots (9.87) and attempts (19.61) per 60 minutes, and the 26-year-old winger climbs to respective 10.51 and 19.97 marks on home ice. His 54.0 Corsi For percentage and 55.5% shot share at five-on-five at the Enterprise Center also lead the Blues.

I also value Kyrou leading the Blues in shot attempts per 60 (30.99) with the man advantage.

Tristan Jarry Over 24.5 saves (-120 at DraftKings)

Sticking in St. Louis, I’m anticipating the Blues putting plenty of pucks on net against Penguins goalie Tristan Jarry. As noted, Pittsburgh has allowed a healthy 30.5 shots per game, and Jarry is coming off a sterling 31-save shutout in his last start.

Additionally, Jarry has 25 or more saves in 19 of his 30 starts, and the Blues also have a splash of statistical correction ahead of their 12.3 team shooting percentage at five-on-five during their 10-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, St. Louis has scored the third-most goals (3.28) despite generating the 12th-fewest expected goals (2.29) per 60 minutes at 5-on-5.

Alex Newhook Over 1.5 shots on goal (-110 at DraftKings)

Montreal Canadiens center Alex Newhook has registered two or more shots in 12 of his past 17 games, ranking third in shots per 60 (12.12) and fourth in attempts (14.84) per 60 minutes for the Habs. Those numbers are also way up from his respective 5.18 and 12.01 marks to start the year.

Of course, the Boston Bruins also sport a 26th-ranked 46.8 CF% and 29th-ranked 46.0% shot share at 5-on-5 during their active 3-14-3 skid. As a result, I like Newhook’s potential to keep the uptick in shot volume rolling.
