With Barcelona carrying a 4-0 lead, there's no reason to put the pedal down offensively in Tuesday's second leg.

Barcelona won the first leg 4-0 and should cruise into the semifinals after their return match in Dortmund.

It would take a miracle to see Borussia Dortmund through into the Champions League semifinals after last week's heavy defeat, but the German giants need a performance at home against Barcelona if they're to leave the competition with their pride intact.

This game should be all about honor and the Champions League spirit, so I expect entertainment at both ends, but that won't necessarily mean goals. Here are my Borussia Dortmund vs. Barcelona predictions and free betting picks for Tuesday, April 15.

Borussia Dortmund vs Barcelona picks and predictions

My best bet: Under 3.5 (-124 at TonyBet)

My analysis
Barcelona have won three straight games against Dortmund in all competitions — and there have been 3+ goals in each of those matches. What could it be different this time around?

Barcelona are hoping for a dream treble this season. With qualification into the Champions League semifinals all but secured, they have no reason to get exhausted in a game played in the decisive part of the campaign. Barcelona is currently playing crucial matches every three or four days, so, given the context of last week's triumphant home win, they should not speed up in Dortmund.

Manager Hansi Flick should use this opportunity to rotate the squad a bit as well. Barcelona only beat Leganes 1-0 at the weekend, and their approach shouldn't be much different in Dortmund. Those who'll be able to play will do their utmost for a win, but there's little reason to waste energy.

Three of Barcelona's last four matches ended with less than 2.5 goals being scored, so we'll opt for the Under 3.5 in Dortmund at an excellent -124 price. If you see more juice in this, you could have a careful look at the Under 2.5 at +195.

Borussia Dortmund vs Barcelona same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 3.5

Serhou Guirassy 2+ shots on target

Over 9.5 corners

Serhou Guirassy is Dortmund's glow in a lackluster campaign. The Guinean striker is on 10 goals and four assists in the 13 games he's played since the start of the Champions League season.

He averages 0.77 goals per game, and his total attempt numbers are impressive. He averages 2.7 per match and has 35 in total. Eight of his 10 goals were scored from inside the area, so the ball will be looking for him in the Barcelona box. Guirassy has 20 targeted attempts.

Dortmund have the fourth-highest number of corners from all teams that entered the Champions League main round in September. They're currently on 75 corners, averaging 5.76 per game. They will try to maximize set pieces, so I'll add Over 9.5 corners to my parlay to round up a nice +651 return.
