Austria are fresh off a convincing 3-1 win over Poland after giving France a fair fight in their opening group-stage encounter at Euro 2024.
Despite being heavily dominated, the Netherlands managed to get away with a 0-0 draw against France. They could even have won the match had it not been with a long VAR check disallowing a goal scored by Xavi Simons in the second half. Before drawing France, the Netherlands beat Poland after coming from behind. A late goal from super-sub Wout Weghorst won the Dutch three points.
Comparing the Netherlands to Austria after facing the same opponents in the group, the Austrians come out on top. They looked superior against Poland and had more clarity in the final third than the Dutch. Austria's clash vs. France also showed what a strong unit they could be.
Ralf Rangnick's boys asked the World Cup finalists questions that remained unanswered as they exposed a few of their liabilities. The Netherlands can consider themselves lucky with the point they won vs France, who had twice their attempts (16 vs. eight) while enjoying a comfortable 58% possession.
The Netherlands have somehow kept three clean sheets in their last four group games at the Euros. but Austria come in great offensive form. They won seven of their previous nine games with the only defeat coming vs. France last week, and Austria have failed to score in just one of their last 19 games.
Against France, Austria won the possession battle at 51% and had just one attack less than the tournament favorites (43 vs. 44). Austria recorded a total of 12 attempts on target in their first two matches, placing them fifth in the overall rankings. The Dutch are only 16th, with eight shots.
Austria are well equipped to progress from this group. They were unimpressed with the French parade of glam stars, so there's little reason to believe they'll change their approach when they face the Netherlands. At -139 to win or draw, Austria are worth your attention.

My analysis
Depay had six attempts during his first two group matches, but only one went on goal. Even though his percentage is not impressive, you can never rule Memphis out.
He was arguably the most dangerous attacking player in Koeman's team against Poland, with the narrowest of margins stopping him from getting his name on the scoresheet.
His teammates rely on his quality to decide things in the last third, and the clash against Austria will be no different. At -200, a bet on Memphis to shoot on target at least once against Austria are a solid option.

This should be an open game, with Austria trying to control rhythm and score rather than play a waiting game. A bet on corners to get your SGP a better return should work. Austria have nine corners over their first two games in Group D. Considering the physicality of their team, they can be very dangerous in set-pieces.
