Our best bet for the game is Everton to win, which you can grab at +245. Although Spurs are 23 points higher than Everton in the Premier League table, Tottenham is due to struggle here. 

It’s been clear for some time that Antonio Conte had instilled a spirit of negativity at Tottenham. Reports of difficulties in training and an aloof attitude were rife and it’s notable that the players weren’t exactly quick to post farewells to Conte on social media after he was sacked.

All of this must give Spurs fans hopes that the club will experience the famous "new manager bounce", but that's far from reality. 

Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason will now be in charge of Tottenham, and both are coaches who were part of a failed Conte regime. I simply don’t believe that this transition will give a tired Tottenham team the energy that they need in order to get back to their best, especially on a cold Monday in front of a passionate and excited Everton crowd.

When Stellini and Mason were in charge during Conte's illness, the club lost four consecutive games on the road. The Spurs have only won three of their past nine games and now face an Everton club that has prevailed in three of their last four home games since Sean Dyche took the top job.

Considering the additional injuries on Tottenham's defense, take the Toffees to win outright on Monday.

Everton will play the 4-5-1 that they’ve used well under Sean Dyche so far. There’s a slim chance that Dominic Calvert-Lewin might be fit enough to lead the line, but if he can't go, Demarai Gray will take that role and use his speed to hit Spurs on the counter. 

The last time that Stellini and Mason were in charge of Spurs, we didn’t see anything radical in terms of formation. I’d imagine that continues with the lineup looking similar to that under Conte. We already know the danger that Tottenham possess, with the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, and Dejan Kulusevski at their disposal.

However, Spurs’ biggest issue is the injuries that have hit their backline, with Pedro Porro as their only healthy fullback. The combination of that and the ongoing management issues for Tottenham has me ultimately feeling bullish on Everton getting the upset. 

Everton vs Tottenham Over/Under analysis

The Under 2.5 is currently juiced to -125, but I still think it’s a great price that you should take. 

Under 2.5 has landed in 64.3% of Everton’s games at Goodison Park this season, and is 4-0 in all of their home games since Dyche took the helm. 

Everton will set up to defend and given what we’ve seen so far, they should be able to keep this as a tight game. For those reasons, I’m expecting the Under to cash once more.
