My analysis
Things didn't go Leverkusen's way last week in Munich. The undefeated Bundesliga champions of last year succumbed to a 3-0 defeat less than three weeks after drawing Bayern 0-0 in the domestic league.
That goalless draw left viewers feeling Leverkusen were massively unlucky not to win the game. The story was different in the Champions League, as if both teams underwent a metamorphosis that created new "avatars" to represent them on the pitch.
