The final game of this weekend’s Premier League action serves us Tottenham vs. West Ham, with the two London clubs looking to improve their league position.

Spurs are outsiders in the race to finish in the Top 4 and claim a Champions League spot next season, while West Ham are nervously looking at the relegation zone and the potential risk of dropping out of the Premier League.

Don’t miss our Tottenham vs. West Ham picks and predictions.

Tottenham vs West Ham picks and predictions

Despite their terrible position in the Premier League, it’s worth noting that West Ham have only given up 27 goals. That’s by far the best record in the bottom half of the Premier League table and it’s even fewer than Man United, who are third in the table, have conceded. The issue with this team is in the final third, and not the defensive third. They just simply cannot score.

That plays into our hand for the best bet for Spurs vs. West Ham, where we’ll be backing Under 0.5 goals in the first half. Spurs, despite being a high-scoring team this year, have generally seen most goals at the Tottenham in the second half of games. There have been Under 0.5 goals in 54.5% of first halves this season.

When West Ham have been on their travels, a huge 72.7% of their games haven’t had a goal in the first half, most notably down to David Moyes’ tactics and difficult-to-beat attitude.

At +220, there’s great value on Under 0.5 goals in the first half of Spurs vs. West Ham.

My best bet: Under 0.5 first-half goals (+220 at Unibet)

Tottenham vs West Ham side analysis

There might be a big difference in points between Tottenham and West Ham but the two teams have their similarities too. Both Antonio Conte and David Moyes are playing with wingbacks, with their teams usually being sent out in a 3-4-2-1 with wingbacks on either side of a back three.

Spurs’ team is hard to predict, even with Hugo Lloris, Yves Bissouma, and Rodrigo Bentancur out. It’s likely Pape Sarr will partner Emil Hojbjerg in the heart of the midfield. One area of the three which we can predict is the front three, with Harry Kane starting down the middle with Son Heung-Min and Dejan Kulusevski supporting him

West Ham will mirror Spurs’ formation. With Gianluca Scamacca a doubt, we will see Michail Antonio start up front but the Jamaican, much like West Ham themselves, has struggled in front of goal this season. A lot of West Ham’s goalscoring will be on the shoulders of Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma.

I’m unsure exactly who’ll win this, but Spurs look a good price at -120, with West Ham struggling to pick up wins this season.

Tottenham vs West Ham Over/Under analysis

Despite the brilliance of Harry Kane and the potential that the Tottenham strike force has, I’d lean toward backing the Under here.

There have been Over 2.5 goals in 54.5% of Tottenham’s games at home this season, but it’s worth noting that the three games at home since the World Cup have seen a grand total of just five goals with all three seeing Under 2.5.

West Ham have had Under 2.5 goals in 72.7% of their games away from home this season and I’m confident we’ll see that continue here. It’s also worth remembering that when these teams met in late August, the game finished 1-1 with Under 2.5 goals.
