Bo Bichette hit a two-run homer and had three RBIs, right-hander Ross Stripling pitched six strong innings and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Cleveland Indians 3-0 on Wednesday night.

The Blue Jays, who won three in a row after dropping the opener of the four-game series with Cleveland, moved eight games above .500 (57-49) for the first time this season.

The Blue Jays are 6-1 after returning to Rogers Centre for the first time since Sept. 29, 2019, because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Stripling (5-6) held Cleveland to three hits and a walk for his second consecutive win. He struck out six.

Adam Cimber pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn his first save of the season.

The Blue Jays won the season series with the Indians 5-2.

Cleveland right-hander Triston McKenzie (1-5) matched his season best with seven innings, allowing three runs, five hits and no walks while striking out four.

McKenzie retired his first 10 batters of the game until Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled with one out in the fourth inning. Bichette hit his 20th homer of the season with two outs.

Stripling overcame an error and a walk in the first inning and retired 12 batters in a row until Owen Miller singled with one out in the fifth inning.

Amed Rosario singled with one out in the sixth for Cleveland's second hit. Franmil Reyes singled to move Rosario to third. Stripling finished the inning with a strikeout and a groundout.

McKenzie pitched around a single in the fifth but allowed another run in the sixth. Marcus Semien doubled with two outs and scored on Bichette's single.

Trevor Richards replaced Stripling and pitched a perfect seventh.

Tim Mayza worked around a walk in the eighth for the Blue Jays.

Bryan Shaw replaced McKenzie in the bottom of the eighth. He retired the first two batters before hitting Guerrero on the hand with a pitch. Guerrero stayed in the game after some attention. Shaw retired Semien on a fly to center to end the inning.
