PHILADELPHIA -- J.J. Redick hit eight 3-pointers and scored 29 points as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the flailing Orlando Magic 130-111 on Saturday night at the Wells Fargo Center.

Redick hit six 3-pointers in the first half and the Sixers never trailed after the first quarter en route to their fifth win in six games and third in a row.

Philadelphia shot 50.5 percent from the field and won without starting point guard Ben Simmons, who was sidelined with a swollen elbow.

Sixers center Joel Embiid collected his ninth double-double of the season with 18 points (14 of which came before halftime) and 14 rebounds.

T.J. McConnell, starting for Simmons, also had a double-double with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting and 13 of the Sixers' 34 assists. Dario Saric added 21 points.

Elfrid Payton scored a season-best 22 points for Orlando, which dropped its eighth game in a row.

The eight-game skid matches the longest for the Magic since they dropped eight straight between Jan. 9 and Jan. 29, 2016.

The Magic, who have not won since beating the Phoenix Suns on Nov. 10, shot 45.3 percent from the field and went 21 of 31 from the line.

Evan Fournier, Orlando's leading scorer this season, added 13 points but was held scoreless in the first half. Aaron Gordon chipped in 16 points and nine rebounds while Nikola Vukovic had 14 points and 14 rebounds.

The Sixers grew a 15-point halftime lead thanks in large part to Redick. All 18 points of his points in the first half came from beyond the arc, including a string of nine straight Sixers points that helped them end the first half on a 20-10 run in the final five minutes.

The eight made 3-pointers for Redick matched his season high. The first-year Sixer also hit eight against Indiana on Nov. 3.
