DETROIT -- Tobias Harris scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and the Detroit Pistons won for the sixth time in seven games, downing the Indiana Pacers 114-97 on Wednesday at Little Caesars Arena.
Reggie Jackson supplied 18 points, Avery Bradley had 14, and Andre Drummond contributed 14 points and 21 rebounds for the Pistons (8-3). Off the Detroit bench, Langston Galloway had 12 points and Ish Smith added 10.
Victor Oladipo pumped in 21 points and Al Jefferson scored a season-high 19 points for the Pacers, who have lost four straight. Thaddeus Young added 16 points and Bojan Bogdanovic chipped in 12 points with seven rebounds for Indiana (5-7).
Oladipo's steal and dunk tied the game at 65-all midway through the third quarter. Detroit responded with 13 unanswered points. Jackson scored the first five. Bradley and Harris drilled 3-pointers, and Drummond finished the surge with a put-back.
Indiana crept back within 82-75 heading into the fourth. Once again, the Pistons stretched it out with a spurt, scoring the first eight points of the final quarter. Reggie Bullock and Anthony Tolliver made 3-pointers during that span.
Another Drummond put-back dunk made it 99-84 halfway through the quarter. The Pacers scored the next eight points, capped by a Cory Joseph jumper. That was as close as Indiana would come, as Jackson and Harris carried the Pistons the rest of the way.
The Pistons outscored the Pacers 37-22 in the second quarter to gain a 59-52 halftime lead. Detroit got a boost from little-used Boban Marjanovic, who scored nine first-half points off the bench. Young kept the Pacers within striking distance with 14 first-half points.
Marjanovic didn't score after halftime.
