Indiana @ New Orleans preview

Smoothie King Center

Last Meeting ( Feb 22, 2019 ) New Orleans 111, Indiana 126

Three siblings - Indiana's Aaron and Justin Holiday, and New Orleans' Jrue - could play in the same game for the first time in NBA history when the Pelicans host the Pacers on Saturday. "It’s pretty cool,” Jrue told reporters. “I think I would’ve preferred to be on the team with one of them, instead of both of them playing against me. But it’s cool to play against them and try to beat them. It’s going to be fun.”

The Pelicans try for their third straight victory, which would match a season high, after stunning host Denver 112-100 on Christmas night. Brandon Ingram is the primary reason for hope in New Orleans as he continued his phenomenal campaign with 31 points and seven rebounds on Christmas while making 7-of-9 3-pointers. The Pacers have dropped two of their last three but they've all been played against some of the elite teams in the Eastern Conference, and Friday's 113-112 loss at Miami was a nail-biter throughout. Aaron Holiday led seven players in double figures with 17 points but missed a shot in the closing seconds to drop the team to 7-8 on the road.

TV: 7 p.m. ET, FS Indiana, FS New Orleans

ABOUT THE PACERS (21-11): Holiday is doing his best to fill in for the injured Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring), who has missed the last two games, and is averaging 18 points and 9.5 assists in those two contests. Brother Justin Holiday added 11 points while making 3-of-6 3-pointers in Friday's loss. Center Myles Turner also had three 3-pointers - in five attempts - and is 8-of-11 from beyond the arc over his last two games.

ABOUT THE PELICANS (9-23): Ingram's seven 3-pointers represents a career high and he is shooting 41 percent from 3-point distance on the season while averaging 25.3 points. "It's been college and high school," Ingram told reporters of his long-range game. "They (teammates) found me when I was open. I had the confidence to knock it down." Jrue Holiday is averaging 22 points over his last three games and tied a season high with six steals against the Nuggets.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Pelicans SG Josh Hart made 4-of-5 3-pointers Thursday after hitting 1-of-12 over his previous two games.

2. Pacers SF Doug McDermott hit 4-of-7 from long range Friday and is 30-of-60 in December.

3. Indiana PF Domantas Sabonis averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds as Indiana won both meetings last season.

PREDICTION: Pacers 113, Pelicans 109
