Last Meeting ( Nov 30, 2019 ) Indiana 116, Philadelphia 119

The Indiana Pacers dropped back-to-back games on the road over the weekend but are winners of five straight at home, where they will play the next two. The Pacers will try to avoid their first three-game slide since the opening three games of the season when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Indiana battled Miami hard in a 113-112 loss on Friday and didn't have much left over for Saturday, when they were outscored 101-66 over the final three quarters in a 120-98 setback at New Orleans. "Well, we've just got to put it behind us," Pacers coach Nate McMillan told reporters after the loss. "We've got some tough games coming up. We have to flush this and get home. We will take tomorrow off, allow our guys to recover, and get ourselves ready for Philadelphia." The 76ers are enduring their own two-game slide after suffering one-point losses at Orlando and Miami to begin the four-game trip. "To do a lot of good things and then just at the end, make some plays you wished you had back, makes it difficult to swallow," Philadelphia coach Brett Brown told reporters after Saturday's 117-116 overtime loss at the Heat.

ABOUT THE 76ERS (23-12): Joel Embiid scored 35 points on 11-of-16 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds on Saturday but it was one of his three turnovers that proved to be most important after he was stripped with 10 seconds left in regulation and Philadelphia leading by two points. "(Friday's 98-97 loss at Orlando) wasn't a good game and (Saturday) was a tough one," Embiid told reporters. "They are obviously a good team. We just have to be better." Forward Tobias Harris is off to a rough start on the trip as well and went 4-of-15 from the floor on Saturday, including 0-of-4 from beyond the arc.

ABOUT THE PACERS (21-12): Indiana has been without starting point guard Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) for the last three games is hoping the two days off will get its leader in scoring (18.3 points) and assists (7.6) back on the floor. Brogdon's replacement in the starting lineup, Aaron Holiday, was the least of the Pacers' problems on Saturday as he scored a team-high 25 points on 7-of-14 shooting, and he is averaging 20.3 points in the last three contests. Domantas Sabonis (15 points, 16 rebounds) was solid in defeat as well and goes into play on Monday tied for second in the NBA with 26 double-doubles.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Pacers SF Justin Holiday went 0-of-4 from the floor on Saturday and is 6-of-22 over the last four games.

2. Philadelphia SG Furkan Korkmaz is 2-of-9 from 3-point range over the last two games.

3. Embiid recorded 32 points and 11 rebounds in a 119-116 home win over Indiana on Nov. 30.
