The injury-plagued Washington Wizards are coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season as seldom-used players take their turns to step up. The new-look Wizards will try to make it two in a row when they host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Washington got a franchise-record 80 points off the bench in Monday's 123-105 home win over the Miami Heat while key rotation players like All-Star Bradley Beal (leg), forwards Moritz Wagner (ankle), Davis Bertans (quad) and Rui Hachimura (groin) and center Thomas Bryant (foot) all sat out. "It's definitely the biggest win considering what has taken place," Wizards coach Scott Brooks told reporters. "Going into the season, we lost a lot of guys, but our guys play hard. We know what we're up against. You don't win in this league by not playing hard, whether you have your full roster or you don't have your roster, you got to play hard, you got to give maximum effort." The Magic are dealing with some injuries of their own but had no excuse following a 101-93 home loss to the lowly Atlanta Hawks on Monday. "There's not much to say or add to what transpired tonight," Orlando forward Jonathan Isaac told reporters. "It's a terrible effort on our part to allow this to happen, especially on our home court. There's not much to say."

ABOUT THE MAGIC (14-19): Orlando knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers and played the NBA-best Milwaukee Bucks tough on the road before falling to an Atlanta team that came in on a 10-game losing streak, and finding some consistency is the priority. "A big part of this league is to be consistent," Magic center Nikola Vucevic told reporters. "Individually, as a player, and as a team, you have to be consistent. It's hard to do it over 82 games and playing every other night, but that's what the good players and good teams do. We have to find a way to do it, but we obviously haven't done it all year long and it's costing us. We have to figure it out soon." Vucevic scored 27 points on 12-of-19 shooting in the loss but the rest of the team shot 37.5 percent.

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (10-22): Undrafted rookie guard Garrison Mathews totaled 30 points in his first 10 NBA games but broke out with 28 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and 12-of-13 from the line in 29 minutes off the bench Monday. Jordan McRae added a season-high 29 off the bench while veteran center Ian Mahinmi - in his 12th NBA season - scored a career-best 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting in the win. "Obviously, we are missing a ton with a ton of injuries, and a lot of offense, and it was time for somebody to step up," Mathews told reporters. "Jordan McRae played great, and Ian played great. Once I saw the first (shot) go down, I was just fortunate a few other ones fell."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Beal is expected to practice on Tuesday and could return after missing the last two games.

2. Magic PF Aaron Gordon (Achilles) sat out Monday and is day-to-day.
