Last Meeting ( Nov 22, 2019 ) Atlanta 103, Detroit 128

The last three wins for the Detroit Pistons have come on the road, a trend they'll try to keep alive with a visit to the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. After recent wins at Golden State and Cleveland, the Pistons picked up an impressive 116-103 victory at the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

Rookie Sekou Doumbouya continued his solid stretch with a season-high 24 points and three others scored at least 21 as Detroit shot a season-high 60.3 percent from the floor. "This is probably the best win we've had," forward Markieff Morris, who scored 23 points, told reporters. "We've been struggling lately. To come out and compete like we did tonight, shows us we can play with anybody." The Hawks are coming off perhaps their best win of the season as well, storming back from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to steal a 121-120 triumph at San Antonio. It marked Atlanta's sixth road win in 24 tries and gave the squad two straight victories for the first time since it opened the season 2-0.

TIME: 7:30 p.m. ET. TV: FS Detroit, FS Southeast

ABOUT THE PISTONS (15-27): Doumbouya is averaging 14 points on 54.4 percent shooting in January, filling the voids left behind by the injuries to starters Blake Griffin (knee) and Luke Kennard (knee). "I feel like normal, just played my game and not try to do too much," he told the media in Boston after going 10-of-13 from the field. Guard Reggie Jackson (back), who has not played since Oct. 24, could return "any day," according to coach Dwane Casey.

ABOUT THE HAWKS (10-32): Trae Young led the way in Friday's win with 31 points and nine assists while Cam Reddish added 20 on 8-of-13 shooting. Kevin Huerter capped his 18-point effort with the go-ahead 3-pointer with seven seconds to go as Atlanta won in San Antonio for the first time in 22 years. "It feels great, especailly the way we hung in there," Huerter told Fox Sports Southeast after his team bounced back from a third quarter in which it was outscored 41-21. "We came back. We hit big shots."

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Pistons C Andre Drummond recorded his 34th double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds while making all six of his shots and handing out seven assists in the win at Boston.
