When Furkan Korkmaz finds his shooting touch the Philadelphia 76ers reap the rewards, and he will try to follow up a career night and lead his team to a third straight win in a visit to the New York Knicks on Saturday. The third-year pro from Turkey hit 6-of-9 3-pointers en route to a career-high 24 points in Friday's 100-89 win over the Chicago Bulls.

Korkmaz is 22-of-39 from long range while averaging 13 points over Philadelphia's last seven victories, compared to 5-of-23 and a 5.7 average in six losses during the same stretch, and his performance against the Bulls turned plenty of heads. "It's a heck of a story, based on where he was and where he is," coach Brett Brown told reporters of Korkmaz. "He changed the game." The Knicks are back in another tailspin after dropping a 121-98 decision to the Phoenix Suns at home Thursday night. Julius Randle scored 26 points for New York, which was outscored by 30 points over the final three quarters to lose for the seventh time in its last eight games.

TIME: 7:30 p.m. ET. TV: NBCS Philadelphia, MSG

ABOUT THE 76ERS (27-16): Ben Simmons chipped in 20 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in Friday's win and also drew praise from Brown. "He was just the adult in the room," Brown told reporters. "Defensviely, he's a physical presence by a lot, when you watch him play defense. And I thought he changed the game. How can he not be a first-team all-league defensive player?" The lanky point guard is shooting 61.7 percent from the field while averaging 21.3 points over the past three contests.

ABOUT THE KNICKS (11-31): Thursday's loss was made even more painful due to the loss of rookie guard RJ Barrett, who suffered a sprained ankle that will keep him out for at least a week. Damyean Dotson played 26 minutes in the loss - his high this month - and could see more playing time in Barrett's absence. Forward Marcus Morris returned to the lineup after a five-game layoff due to a neck injury and scored 17 points in 33 minutes.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Knicks PG Dennis Smith Jr. (oblique) has been ruled out and will miss his 12th straight game.

2. Sixers PF Al Horford reached the 20-point mark Friday for the first time in 33 games.

3. Philadelphia won the first two meetings to extend its winning streak in the series to 10.

PREDICTION: 76ers 108, Knicks 103
