Matt Mitchell scored 19 points and Trey Pulliam added 18 to lead No. 25 San Diego State to a 67-53 win over host Fresno State on Thursday night.
The Aztecs (16-4, 10-3 Mountain West) extended their winning streak to seven games after rallying from an early 11-0 deficit.
Mitchell also had five rebounds and three steals, and Jordan Schakel scored 13 points for San Diego State.
Fresno State (9-8, 7-8) was led by Orlando Robinson's 17 points and 13 rebounds. Isaiah Hill added 11 points.
San Diego State limited the Bulldogs to 33.3 percent shooting from the field.
Fresno State's 15 turnovers led to 13 points for the Aztecs.
The Bulldogs led by 11 with 16:17 left in the first half after making three of their first six shots, all 3-pointers, including two by Hill.
San Diego State missed its first six attempts from the field before Schakel ended the drought with a jumper with 15:54 left in the half.
That basket started a 19-0 run for the Aztecs, who made 8 of 13 attempts from the field in that span. Schakel had seven points in the game-turning stretch.
San Diego State led 32-20 at halftime, having limited Fresno State to 21.9 percent field-goal shooting. The Aztecs shot 40.6 percent from the floor before the break.
After the hot shooting from 3-point range early, the Bulldogs missed 10 consecutive field-goal attempts, a drought that last 8:35.
Fresno State rallied to cut the deficit to 60-50 with 4:32 remaining after trailing 54-33 with 11 minutes left.
The Bulldogs made 9 of 10 free-throw attempts in that rally that was led by Robinson's eight points, including four at the foul line.
After Fresno State's Kyle Harding scored his only points of the game on a 3-pointer with 3:47 left to cut the deficit to 62-53, Mitchell answered with a jumper.
The Bulldogs did not make a field goal following Harding's 3-pointer, missing their last three attempts.
The teams meet again Saturday at Fresno State.
