Jabari Walker had 23 points and 11 rebounds, D'Shawn Schwartz added 18 points and the host Colorado Buffaloes cruised to an 89-60 win against the California Golden Bears in Boulder on Thursday.
McKinley Wright IV had 13 points and 12 assists and Maddox Daniels scored 12 points for Colorado. The Buffaloes (10-3, 4-2 Pac-12) have won three in a row and they stayed in the top five of the conference standings.
Andre Kelly scored 16 points, Makale Foreman had 13 and Ryan Betley added 12 for Cal (6-8, 1-6). The Bears played without leading scorer Matt Bradley, who missed his third straight game with an ankle injury.
Colorado led by 11 at the half and quickly stretched it to 14 on a three-point play by Schwartz.
Kelly answered with a three-point play and a layup by Betley got Cal within nine, but the Buffs began to pull away.
Jeriah Horne had a 3-pointer and a jumper and Daniels scored on a layup, added a pair of free throws and hit a 3-pointer to put Colorado ahead 56-36, forcing the Bears to call a timeout with 12:29 left
Cal responded with 3-pointers from Betley and Jarred Hyder to cut the deficit to 16 but Schwartz scored the next eight points for the Buffaloes to put them up 66-44 with under 10 minutes remaining.
A 7-0 run stretched the lead to 77-49 with 6:56 remaining, and Colorado cruised to the win.
The game was tight early in the first half before a 10-0 run by the Bears gave them an 18-11 lead with 9:41 left. Walker drained a pair of 3-pointers to spark eight straight points by Colorado and a one-point lead, an advantage it continued to stretch.
Walker scored five more points during another big run by the Buffs. They outscored Cal 21-2 and took a 34-23 halftime lead after Walker's layup with 25 seconds left.
