Jalen Bridges achieved his first career double-double with a career-high 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead No. 6 West Virginia to a 76-67 win Thursday over TCU in a Big 12 game at Morgantown, W.Va.
Derek Culver added 17 points and eight rebounds, Sean McNeil contributed 14 points and Miles McBride had 10 points for the Mountaineers (18-7, 11-5).
TCU (12-12, 5-10) has lost five of its last six games, including two games against West Virginia in that stretch. The Mountaineers have won four of their last five games.
West Virginia coach Bob Huggins achieved his 899th career victory.
Jaedon LeDee scored 17 of his 20 points in the second half and also had eight rebounds. Mike Miles finished with 15 points and Kevin Samuel added 12 points and eight rebounds.
R.J. Nembhard's 20-game streak of double-digit scoring for TCU was snapped as he mustered five on 2-of-8 shooting from the field before fouling out with 1:32 left.
TCU rallied in the second half after trailing 27-11 in the first half following a 3-of-19 start shooting from the field.
The Horned Frogs shot only 18.2 percent (4 of 22) in the first half as the Mountaineers built a 32-18 halftime lead.
TCU made 17 of 32 (53.1 percent) shots from the field in the second half.
The Horned Frogs, who trailed by as many as 15 points after halftime, cut the lead to 55-48 with 5:47 left.
LeDee had nine points and six rebounds at that point in the second half.
The Horned Frogs could not get closer the rest of the game because of West Virginia's free throw shooting in the second half.
Bridges, Culver, McNeil and McBride made 22 of 25 shots from the line after halftime. The Mountaineers were 26 of 30 overall.
In the last minute, McNeil made all four of his free throw attempts and McBride made both of his tries.
