Darius McGhee scored 20 points to lead the Liberty Flames to a 66-45 rout of the Missouri Tigers Thursday night in Lynchburg, Va.
Shiloh Robinson scored 15 points and Keegan McDowell added 12 points for the Flames (4-3), who extended their winning home winning streak to 40 games.
They have not lost on their own court since Jan. 29, 2019 against Lipscomb.
Kobe Brown scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Missouri (4-4). Amari Davis added 13 points for the Tigers, the first Southeastern Conference team to play a road game at Liberty, a perennial ASUN power.
Liberty held Missouri to 28.6 percent shooting from the floor overall and 15.8 percent from 3-point range.
McDowell hit two early 3-point jumpers to propel Liberty to a fast 16-3 start.
The frazzled Tigers missed their first seven shots from the field and turned the ball over seven times in the first 8 1/2 minutes of the game.
McGhee missed six of his first seven shots before settling in. He knocked down a couple of 3-point shots as the Flames went on a 17-2 run to take a 33-7 lead.
The Tigers closed the half with a modest 7-2 run to cut their halftime deficit to 35-14.
Missouri missed 18 of 21 shots from the floor in the first half -- including all seven shots from 3-point range -- and turned the ball over 15 times.
The Tigers stabilized after the break, but they could only trade baskets with the Flames. They got no closer than 18 points during the first 11 minutes of the second half.
A 3-pointer by Brown and a jumper by Davis finally cut the Liberty lead to 56-41 with 5:01 left, but a 3-point jumper by Robinson got the Flames back on track.
