Damion Baugh scored 23 points to lead visiting TCU to a 59-44 victory over No. 15 Iowa State in a Big 12 game on Saturday in Ames, Iowa.
Baugh shot 11-for-17 and added seven rebounds and a team-high five assists, while Charles O'Bannon had 10 points and Emanuel Miller added seven points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Horned Frogs (13-3, 3-2 Big 12).
TCU shot 49 percent (25-for-51) from the field, including 26.7 percent (4-for-15) from 3-point range. The Horned Frogs also outrebounded the Cyclones 39-28 en route to winning for the third time in their past four games.
Izaiah Brockington had a double-double with 19 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for Iowa State (14-5, 2-5). But Brockington didn't get much help offensively from his teammates, as no other Cyclone scored more than Tyrese Hunter's seven points.
Iowa State, which lost for the fourth time in its past five games, shot 30.9 percent (17-for-55) from the field, including an abysmal 11.5 percent (3-for-26) from beyond the arc.
Iowa State opened the second half on a 10-2 run to pull to within 36-33 on Jackson's 3-pointer with 13:42 left, but that's as close as the Cyclones would get. The Horned Frogs scored the game's next 10 points, including six by Baugh, to take a 46-33 lead with 10:01 remaining.
TCU controlled most of the first half en route to taking a 34-23 lead at intermission.
Baugh scored 13 first-half points to pace an offense that shot 52 percent (13-for-25) from the field, including 37.5 percent (3-for-8) from beyond the arc. The Horned Frogs also scored nine points off six Iowa State turnovers.
Iowa State struggled from the perimeter in the first half. The Cyclones made just one of their 10 attempts from beyond the arc, but they shot 9-for-15 from inside the arc.
Brockington scored 12 points on 5-for-6 shooting, while his teammates collectively scored 11 on 5-for-19 shooting from the field in the opening 20 minutes.
