Quinten Post totaled a team-high 21 points and Devin McGlockton posted 12 of his 16 in the second half as Boston College held off host Florida State for a 75-69 win on Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla.
The Eagles (13-16, 7-10 Atlantic Coast Conference) shot 55 percent from the floor -- including 8 of 13 from 3-point range -- in the first half. They won despite not making a field goal for the final 4:03 of regulation.
Post, who fouled out with 3:31 left, made all five of his 3-point attempts and had 17 points in the opening stanza.
Prince Aligbe had 10 points and tied McGlockton with seven rebounds.
BC led by as many as 19 before halftime, but it needed McGlockton to convert a pair of three-point plays and go 10-for-10 from the free-throw line to emerge victorious.
Caleb Mills scored 16 of his game-high 27 points in the first half and set a program ACC record with 17 made free throws for Florida State (8-20, 6-11).
Darin Green Jr. added 13 points for the Seminoles, who played without Matthew Cleveland (back) for a second straight game.
BC led 6-0 before the hosts scored, but that is when the 3-point party began. Post sandwiched his first two treys around a Mills layup to give the Eagles a 14-4 lead.
After a brief Seminoles' run, the visitors used a 16-2 run to take a 30-11 advantage with six minutes left in the opening half. Post hit a 3-pointer during 7-0 and 9-0 stretches, the latter of which included help from Aligbe and Mason Madsen beyond the arc.
Mills kept Florida State in it, scoring two of his four first-half layups in succession and then six of the team's eight straight free throws during a closing 10-2 run.
Still, the Seminoles did not convert a field goal for the final 5:20 of the period.
Post finished his first-half scoring with a straightaway three from the logo and a two-hand dunk with 2:20 left.
Jalen Warley's 3-point play brought the Seminoles within eight early in the second half before free throws helped BC stretch the lead back to 12.
Florida State used a 6-0 run in just 1:43, getting back within 46-42 on Baba Miller's reverse dunk off a Mills feed with 10:29 left.
The Seminoles did not cut within four until Green hit a 3-pointer with 1:02 left, but free throws allowed BC to finish off the win.
