Last Meeting ( Jan 8, 2020 ) Kansas 79, Iowa State 53

No. 3 Kansas has a mammoth game at top-ranked Baylor on Saturday and it hopes to keep pace with the Bears by knocking off visiting Iowa State on Monday. The Jayhawks haven't lost since a 67-55 setback against Baylor on Jan. 11, and their 10-game winning streak has them one game behind the first-place Bears with six to play.

Kansas showed no signs of looking too far ahead by rolling past Oklahoma 87-70 on Saturday behind a career-high 24 points from junior guard Marcus Garrett. "Obviously if Marcus makes six 3s we'll be hard to deal with," coach Bill Self told reporters of Garrett, who had zero made 3s over his previous eight contests. "That was probably the best offensive game he's had since he's been here." The Cyclones have won two of three since a four-game slide, routing Texas 81-52 on Saturday at home. Senior forward Michael Jacobson recorded season highs of 21 points and 13 rebounds as Iowa State posted its most lopsided win since Dec. 22.

ABOUT IOWA STATE (11-14, 4-8 Big 12): Saturday's win was the first for the Cyclones since they lost their top player in sophomore guard Tyrese Haliburton for the season. "We needed this," coach Steve Prohm told reporters after his team shot a season-high 57.1 percent. "We had a lot of guys step up and do some really good things." Jacobson was 8-of-9 from the floor after going a combined 2-of-12 in his previous two games and both junior forward Solomon Young and senior guard Prentiss Nixon scored 17 points.

ABOUT KANSAS (22-3, 11-1): Sophomore guard Devon Dotson chipped in 19 points in the win over Oklahoma to boost his Big 12-leading average to 18.0. Senior center Udoka Azubuike, the conference leader in rebounding at 9.9 per contest, finished with 15 points and a career high-tying 17 boards Saturday for his third double-double in the last four games. The big man from Nigeria also had four blocks and ranks second among Big 12 players with 2.6 per game.

2. Cyclones sophomore F George Conditt IV is averaging 7.3 rebounds in 16 minutes over his last three contests.
