Second-ranked Gonzaga aims to register its 15th consecutive victory when it visits San Francisco on Saturday in West Coast Conference play. The Bulldogs have won a record 35 straight WCC regular-season games after notching an 87-72 road win over Santa Clara on Thursday night.

Gonzaga is expected to be without Killian Tillie after the senior forward sprained his left ankle in the first half of the win over Santa Clara. It is the latest case of misfortune for Tillie, who has missed six games this season due to knee and ankle injuries but entered the Santa Clara contest with four 20-point performances over his last seven games. "He just can't catch a break," Bulldogs coach Mark Few said afterward. "It's just a shame because he was playing as good as he's ever played these last four to five games." The Dons have won five of last six games, including Thursday's 69-44 rout of host San Diego.

ABOUT GONZAGA (22-1, 8-0 WCC): With Tillie missing the final 29-plus minutes against the Broncos, sophomore forward Filip Petrusev stepped up with a career-best 31 points on 14-of-18 shooting and also had nine rebounds and three steals to raise his team-best averages to 16.7 points and 7.7 rebounds. "I knew one guy couldn't stop me," Petrusev said afterward. "If the double (team) was late, I just took advantage of it. Or if they never sent a double, I just take my time and get to my move. Simple as that." Senior point guard Ryan Woolridge (10.4 average) added 13 points and six assists and has scored in double digits in three straight games for the nation's top offensive team (88.9).

ABOUT SAN FRANCISCO (16-7, 5-3): Junior guard Charles Minlend averages a team-best 15 points per game and he recorded 21 points and season bests of 10 rebounds and four blocked shots against San Diego after averaging 7.5 points on 7-of-24 shooting over the previous two games. Minlend has scored 15 or more points on 14 occasions this season and the showing against the Toreros marked his third 20-point performance of the campaign. Junior guard Jamaree Bouyea (13.7 average, team-leading 45 steals), senior center Jimbo Lull (11.5 points, team-leading 7.0 rebounds) and reserve sophomore guard Khalil Shabazz (10.3 average) are also solid contributors.
