Lions 33, Argonauts 17: Stefan Logan recorded 145 rushing yards and a touchdown in place of the injured Andrew Harris and visiting BC scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to win its third straight contest.
Kevin Glenn was 14-for-25 passing for 208 yards and one touchdown toss to Emmanuel Arceneaux for the Lions (5-3), who improved to 3-1 on the road. Kick returner Tim Brown had 249 combined return yards and Ronnie Yell returned an interception for a touchdown.
Ricky Ray faced pressure from the BC defensive line all night, completing 23-of-39 passes for 181 yards and finding Terrell Sinkfield for a touchdown for Toronto (3-5), while also throwing two interceptions. Tristan Okpalaugo had two sacks.
Glenn connected with Arceneaux for a 53-yard touchdown with 6:27 remaining to give the Lions a two-score advantage. Yell intercepted Ray's pass intended for Jason Barnes with 1:56 left and returned it 32 yards for the second pick-six of his rookie season.
Brown set up Logan’s touchdown with a 70-yard punt return in the first quarter and the Lions established a 13-9 lead at halftime. Ray threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Sinkfield on the opening play of the fourth quarter to put the Argonauts up 17-13, but a pair of field goals by Paul McCallum put BC back in front within six minutes.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Glenn moved past Doug Flutie into eighth on the CFL’s all-time passing yards list with 41,423. Ray is sixth with 49,631 career passing yards. … BC LB Solomon Elimimian recorded another eight tackles for a season total of 62, keeping him on pace to break J.C. Sherritt’s record of 130. … Sinkfield also returned four kicks for 104 yards.
