Tiger-Cats 19, Lions 17: Justin Medlock kicked five field goals, including the game-winner with 1:42 left in the fourth quarter as Hamilton remained undefeated at Tim Hortons Field.
Zach Collaros finished 27-of-43 for 367 yards with an interception for the Tiger-Cats (6-7), who took sole possession of first place in the East Division. Medlock connected on field goals of 8, 15, 37, 39 and 42 yards for Hamilton, which won its fourth consecutive game despite being held without a touchdown.
Kevin Glenn completed 19-of-33 passes for 188 yards for the Lions (7-7), who dropped their third straight game. Shawn Gore caught a TD pass from wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux and Josh Johnson added a defensive score for BC, which fell to 4-3 on the road.
BC scored 10 points in the final minute of the first quarter as Paul McCallum kicked a 27-yard field goal before Johnson returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown. Medlock kicked three consecutive field goals to cut the deficit to 10-9 heading into the break.
Medlock split the uprights from 37 yards out with less than 8 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter to give Hamilton its first lead of the game, but the Lions quickly claimed a 17-12 advantage when Arceneaux took a handoff and threw a 17-yard scoring strike to Gore. BC conceded two straight safeties and was clinging to a 17-16 lead when Medlock converted the game-winning 8-yard kick with under two minutes remaining.
