Last Meeting ( Oct 22, 2019 ) Anaheim 1, Nashville 6

The Anaheim Ducks will look to end a three-game losing streak on Sunday when they host the Nashville Predators. The Ducks are 2-5-1 in their last eight games and continue to struggle finding the back of the net as their 102 goals scored this season are the second-fewest in the NHL.

Anaheim held a 2-1 advantage through two periods on Thursday against Pacific Division rival Arizona but surrendered three third-period goals in a 4-2 setback. “It’s the stuff that’s talked about every night, we’ve got to play all 60 minutes,” Ducks right wing Jakob Silfverberg told reporters. “You can’t be happy with having spurts here and there. It’s definitely something we’re addressing every day, even during games. We’ve got to push for the next goal and you can’t sit back.” The Predators saw their three-game losing streak come to an end Saturday with a 4-1 victory in Los Angeles where Ryan Johansen’s ninth goal of the season late in the first period proved to be the game-winner. Defenseman Roman Josi, the club’s only All-Star representative, increased his team-leading point total to 43 with a pair of assists Saturday and boasts seven goals and 10 assists during a nine-game point streak.

TIME: 10 p.m., ET. TV: NBC Sports Network

ABOUT THE PREDATORS (19-15-6): Right wing Filip Forsberg is tied with Josi for the team-lead in goals with 14, but the 25-year-old Swede has gone four games without a tally and owns just three in his last 12 contests. Josi is one goal shy of tying his career-high while he is on pace for 84 points, which would shatter his personal best of 61 set in 2015-16. Goaltender Pekka Rinne on Saturday allowed fewer than two goals for the first time since Nov. 29 and will hand the crease over to backup Juuse Saros (5-7-3, .890 save percentage) for Sunday’s contest.

ABOUT THE DUCKS (16-20-5): Goaltender John Gibson made 30 saves Thursday but surrendered four goals for the second straight game and leads the NHL with 16 losses. Silfverberg scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season against the Coyotes while Max Jones later added his fourth to temporarily give the Ducks the lead. The Ducks have tallied 13 game-winning goals this season with captain Ryan Getzlaf responsible for five of them.

OVERTIME

1. The Predators are 7-1-1 in their last nine contests against the Ducks.

2. Ducks LW Rickard Rakell has missed the past five games with an upper-body injury.

3. Nashville has had 11 different players tally game-winning goals with C Nick Bonino leading the way with three.

PREDICTION: Predators 3, Ducks 2
