Holland vs Souza Betting Preview
Kevin "Trail Blazer" Holland has been on an absolute tear in 2020, going 4-0 and looking to become just the third fighter in UFC history to tally five wins in a calendar year.
The 28-year-old is 7-1 in his previous eight fights, with his last victory coming by first-round finish against Charlie Ontiveros on October 31.
Holland is a long and athletic fighter with creative striking and explosive power. But he's also an excellent scrambler and capable grappler with seven submission wins in his career.
Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza is coming off back-to-back decision losses against Jan Blachowicz and Jack Hermansson in 2019. The 41-year-old has enjoyed a long and successful career in MMA but has now lost four of his last six fights.
With a background in BJJ, Jacare is a terrific grappler with 14 submission wins in his career, and he's more than capable on his feet with heavy hands and a granite chin.

Holland vs Souza UFC Prediction and Betting Pick
PREDICTION: Souza to win by points or submission - Remember Joaquin Buckley, the surging middleweight with two highlight-reel knockouts in the last two months? Holland destroyed him in August, out-striking him 79-40 before starching him at the beginning of Round 3. That's the caliber of striker Holland is.
That said, Holland has been vulnerable to grapplers in the past, and his takedown defense is suspect. That could be a stylistic nightmare against Jacare, who despite his age, is brutally strong and a monster in the clinch and on the ground.
Despite Jacare going 4-5 in his last nine fights, three of those losses came by split-decision to Yoel Romero, Kevin Gastelum and current light heavyweight champion Blachowicz.
