Moicano vs Fiziev Betting Preview

Renato "Moicano" Carneiro is coming off his first fight as a lightweight, a first-round submission win over Damir Hadžovi? in March. Prior to that victory, the Brazilian had lost back-to-back fights, but still has a 6-3 record since making his UFC debut in 2014.

Moicano is an accurate striker but lacks stopping power, and is more comfortable on the ground. Seven of his 14 career wins have been via submission, with the other seven victories coming by decision.

Rafael "Ataman" Fiziev is fresh off a unanimous decision win and Fight of the Night honors against Marc Diakiese in July. He's now 2-1 under the UFC banner after making his promotion debut with a loss against Magomed Mustafaev in April of 2019.

The 27-year-old Kyrgyzstani native has a background in Muay Thai and prefers to stand up. Ataman is an excellent kickboxer with explosive striking and good movement, and five of his eight career victories have come by knockout.

Moicano vs Fiziev UFC Prediction and Betting Pick

PREDICTION: Moicano to win +116 - Moicano might be just 3-3 in his last six fights, but those losses came against some of the top featherweight fighters in the world in the "Korean Zombie" Chan-Sung Jung, Jose Aldo and Brian Ortega.

While Fiziev is the superior striker, Moicano is more well-rounded thanks to his grappling advantage and cardio.

Moicano's conditioning could prove to be a crucial factor in this fight since, despite Fiziev's history of knockout wins, his only two UFC wins went the distance. If Moicano can drag this fight into deep waters, he should have a slight edge.
