Miller vs Green Betting Preview

Jim Miller is a long-time UFC veteran who made his promotion debut all the way back in 2008, on a card headlined by Michael Bisping and Chris Leben. He is 32-15 in his MMA career but has had mixed results in recent years.

After losing five of six fights between 2017 and 2018 against some of the best in the lightweight division, Miller is 3-2 in the last two years. In his most recent outing last August, he lost to Vinc "From Hell" Pinchel by unanimous decision.

The 37-year-old has good clinch work but prefers to take things to the ground, where he has 18 submission wins in his career including each of his last four victories.

"King" Bobby Green is also fresh off a unanimous decision loss, after he was defeated by Thiago Moises last October. Like Miller, Green has stayed busy despite his advanced age and fought four times last year, winning each of his other three bouts.

The 34-year-old has been fighting professionally since 2008 and is 8-7-1 in the UFC since making his promotion debut in 2013. Green is a well-rounded fighter that combines strong wrestling and submission skills with dynamic striking ability.

Miller vs Green UFC Prediction and Betting Pick

PREDICTION: Bobby Green by points (-125) - Miller's best path to victory is via submission, but Green is capable on the mat and is the far superior striker.

Using statistics to analyze MMA matchups can often be misleading, but with the huge sample size for both fighters, it's worth pointing out that Green lands 5.15 significant strikes per minute with a strike accuracy of 50 percent, while Miller lands 2.83 significant strikes per minute at 44 percent accuracy.

Green has good defensive wrestling with a takedown defense of 76 percent and should be able to keep this fight standing up where he can pile up points. Keep in mind that, even in his previous loss to Moises, Green had an 85-42 edge in significant strikes.

With Green's last nine fights going to the judges' cards and his last six wins going the distance, back the King to win via decision.
