The inaugural UFL playoffs weekend ends on Sunday night, as the XFL Conference Championship game pits the San Antonio Brahmas against the St. Louis Battlehawks.

These two teams played in both Week 3 and Week 10 of the regular season, with the Battlehawks sweeping the season series, albeit in close fashion. Read more as my Brahmas vs. Battlehawks predictions and betting picks expect San Antonio to keep things tight yet again.

Brahmas vs Battlehawks predictions

My best bet
Brahmas +3 (-115 at DraftKings)

My analysis

Last week’s matchup between these two teams determined who would get to host the first-ever XFL Conference Championship game between two former XFL rivals.

The St. Louis Battlehawks snuck out a 13-12 victory thanks to a late missed 51-yard field goal by San Antonio Brahmas kicker Ryan Santoso. It completed a perfect 5-0 home record for the Battlehawks this season, and they now get to host in one of the best atmospheres in the UFL.

It was an offensive showcase in their Week 3 showdown, with the Battlehawks coming out on top 31-24 on the road. Fast forward to last week's matchup, and it was an ugly start for Chase Garbers and the Brahmas before he got injured. Quinten Dormady came in and played excellently, which helped the Brahmas finish with a 272-199 offensive yards advantage. However, finishing drives off was a problem, and they still came up short despite a poor offensive showing from the Battlehawks and A.J. McCarron.

Both John Lovett and Anthony McFarland were out last week in the Brahmas backfield, but Lovett will be returning and McFarland is listed as questionable for this week. That should help the Brahmas be a little more balanced heading into Sunday's tilt.

This is truly a battle of offense vs. defense, with the No. 2 scoring unit in St. Louis taking on the No.1 ranked Brahmas' D. Considering San Antonio has started to find some traction moving the ball with Dormady under center, I'm taking the Brahmas and the points.
