It’s football season and that means every sports bettor will be hitting the sportsbook in Las Vegas. There have been a ton of renovations to books since football kicked off last year. You may have read about some of these renovations over the year but I’ll consolidate everything so you know the sports books that will have the freshest experience.

The California

This is hot off the presses. This week the Cal revealed the renovations to the sportsbook and bar. New large TVs and seating instantly make this one of the best places to watch and wager on games in downtown Las Vegas. The book isn’t as large as some that you’ll find on the Vegas Strip but it’s perfect for the smaller crowds downtown. You can see some pictures taken with Andrew Luck’s old flip phone on Facebook.

The Cosmopolitan

The new sportsbook at the Cosmopolitan opened earlier this year. It’s a small book operated by CG Technology that includes an 18-seat bar with video poker, blackjack tables and an assortment of bar games like foosball, shuffleboard and billiards. There are less than 100 seats at this sportsbook and it will always be packed for football. High rollers can reserve couches, and should check with the Cosmopolitan for prices.

Casino Royale

The betting desk is only about 30 steps from the door of Casino Royale and is physically the closest sports wagering desk to the Vegas Strip in any casino. This isn't a traditional sportsbook. It's more of a sports bar with a wagering desk and kiosk than a full-sized book. The William Hill sportsbook and bar are perfect for this low-roller casino. You can get your sports afternoon rolling for just over $5. Place a $2 wager, buy a beer for $1 and a hot dog for $2.50.

Westgate SuperBook

The renovations to the SuperBook weren’t completed until after the football season began last year. The new and improved Superbook has some of the best screens that you’ll find in any Las Vegas book. The ample seating has been renovated and there’s a new bar in the back of the room. This is one of the longest bars in Las Vegas and fits in perfectly. The renovations keep the Superbook as the quintessential sportsbook in Las Vegas.

Station Casinos (Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station and Palace Station)

Last year, Red Rock Casino received a renovation that had some of the most beautiful screens anywhere in Las Vegas. The experience was so well received that Station Casinos decided they’d renovate more of their sportsbooks. Well, those renovations are complete and you’ll find a better book experience at five more Station Casinos throughout Las Vegas. The changes are different and appropriate for each property. Green Valley Ranch received the same screens as Red Rock while Sunset Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station and Palace Station received changes that made sense for their respective sportsbooks.

Harrah’s

A couple of weeks ago Harrah’s quickly updated their sportsbook. New chairs and TVs seemed to be installed in a day. This is a fairly quiet sportsbook and the improved screens might make it a hidden gem to watch the games on the Vegas strip. You can see a photo from twitter that may have been taken with Andrew Luck’s new flip phone.

Topgolf

On video earlier this week, I mentioned that this will become one of the sneaky great places to watch football. The Yard section at Topgolf has massive TV screens to watch the games, a sports betting window operated by MGM Grand to wager on the games (will be open for football), couches to hang out on and watch the games and waitress service to eat and drink. If you somehow get bored you can always play the Topgolf games.

WHEW! I think that’s all the new sportsbook viewing experiences you have for the football season. There are at least 11 Las Vegas books that offer a new viewing experience where you can wager on football this year.
