alwayswin, let me ask you something. have you watched diaz' last fight against santa cruz?
Hey Brian,
thanks for all your analysis and wnated to ask you a question.
I saw where you wrote u think Diaz is worthy of a BIG PLAY.... is he worthy enough to go about 4k to win by ko +320? so would be like 4 k to win 12k.

Hey Guys,
I probably won't be posting here too much anymore since the Covers team has imposed some censorship on me (avatar) and threatened permanent banning. In the grand theme of things it is not a big deal, but I don’t like censorship and won’t stand for being threatened! Anyway, I will post my plays for this week and hopefully we can all cash in one last time!
Diaz and Morales battle at 135 for Morales’s fourth world title! We all know what Morales is about at this stage of his career so I won’t go into too much detail about him. Diaz is a tough guy who is best known for his come from behind win against Cruz. So how does this fight play out?
Morales looked horrible against Pac Man and some say it was the weight, while others say he is just plain shot. I tend to think it was a combination of the two. Morales has been in a ton of wars, and his body is breaking down. More then anything his legs appear to be gone. That is a clear-cut sign of a tired, old fighter. The two things I cannot get out of my mind about Morales are they way his legs appeared to be stuck in the mud, and the fact that he quit!
I have always had a very hard time backing a fighter who has quit in his previous fights. It is very difficult to come back mentally after you have quit. When the going gets tough, fighters who have quit in the past tend to quit again. I know it sounds strange speaking of quitting and Morales in the same breath, but this is where we are at in his career.
I just cannot bring myself to take Morales at this point in his career. Backing Diaz has more to do with Morales then Diaz himself. He is a tough guy with limited skills, but I am banking on his Southpaw stance and constant pressure to break Morales down (please throw some body shots.)
Boxeo Bets: Diaz +125
In other action (free TV by the way) we have the rematch with Marquez and Vasquez. Both fighters have not fought since their action packed brawl a few months back, and rumors are flying around that Vasquez rushed into the rematch without properly healing his nose. I took Marquez in the first fight and I think this is another great spot for him in the rematch.
Vasquez is a tough guy, but he gets hit a lot! He has been busted up and dropped in many of his fights and Marquez was able to do it in their first bout. I really cannot see any reason that Marquez won’t be able to do much of the same as the first fight.
The other major factor that leans me to the Marquez side is the reality that Vasquez quit on the stool! Now is Vasquez still a tough guy? I would suggest he is, but he has quit in him and in a brawl that little bit of quit may be the difference in the fight. Also, we have no idea what happens if Marquez cracks that nose again. I have a feeling Vasquez will quit if he is seriously hit on his nose and feels that pain again. I like Marquez by KNOCKOUT if you can find it, if not an under play might be an option (depending on what your book is offering.)
Boxeo Bets: Marquez -220

Thanks for the props! I really like Marquez in this fight! I think it will be exciting for as long as it lasts, but too many questions surrounding Vasquez for me to jump to the other side.

Yeah, it just bugs me because that photo was distributed by ALL of the major news corps. I did not grab it off some obscure site. What would have been hilarious if it was a picture of myself!!!

I think Marquez is much more talented then Diaz, but we all wonder how much Morales has left in the tank. I am taking Marquez because of his talent, and questions around Vasquez. I am only taking Diaz because of the questions regarding Morales!

Ok i hear what your saying....is either diaz ml or marquez by ko worthy of a big play? or should I bet small?

I like Marquez by knockout. I don’t how your bankroll situation is, so I cannot say how much you should bet. But I am confident in a Marquez win (I think he will stop him.) If you have any doubts that Marquez can take him out, just take him straight.

I am more confident in Marquez then Diaz! However, I still think some type of play should be put on Diaz. If Morales is shot, Diaz will win this fight!
