Never too late to start talking about next week's
fight. Even though both guys are over the hill IMO, I think it's
a fight that could make bettors a lot of money. Right now, I'm
leaning towards Forrest because of the height and reach
advantage. It's probably going to be a boring fight that ends up
going the distance, but it's always entertaining to win some $$$.

I'm going to be on Baldomir here, and probally pretty big!
Why do u like Baldomir? I'm envisioning Forrest using a style
similar to the one he used against Mosley, where his reach advantage
took Mosely out of his game.

baldomir is a journeyman sack of crap ..he "beat" judah and then beat gatti because he has a big head and you cant miss gatti with punches so he outlasted him..but he isnt a good fighter in my opinion

From what I've been gathering in the last day, the big question mark in this fight is the condition of Forrest's shoulder. Anyone have any info on that? If Forrest is relatively healthy, then he'll be able to jab Baldomir to death in what could be an extremely boring fight. I can't see how anyone could think Baldomir wins against a healthy Forrest. Baldomir's big win came against Gatti, who was obviously a shot fighter. And Gomez took Gatti out even earlier than Baldomir did.

I'd take Baldy, last time I seen Forrest he was handed a gift win over Ike Quartey if he doesnt have a home town judges in his back pocket I can't see him pulling this out against a guy like Baldomir who can make alot of people look bad because of his style

Why do people knock Forrest for his close decision vs. Quartey? Quartey's arguably better than anyone Baldomir's ever beaten. Judah's a head case who comes apart in the late rounds. And when Baldomir fought Mayweather, he was so slow that couldn't win a single round. Gatti was a shot fighter when he fought Baldomir. Miguel Angel Rodriguez isn't a top-tier fighter, either.
Meanwhile, Forrest's been in the ring with Mosley twice and boxed such a technically sound fight that Mosley never really had a chance. Baldomir's shorter, slower, and less skilled than Mosley. I know that Forrest has deteriorated somewhat over the last 5 years, but he'll be able to use his height and reach advantages to neutralize any offensive attack from Baldomir.

Forrest Quartey was very close and could have gone a different way. I had Forrest, Boxeo had Quartey and Boxeo thought it was a robbery. It was close, but...
This is a completely different matchup. There was a time Quartey was considered one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world (see 2/98 Ring magazine, in which I was published). Baldomir never even came close to that type of credibility.

Bunch of fools, you Forrest backers! you dont know a thing of boxing. First off, who the hell is Forrest now.? Remember Forest lost TWICE!!!!!!!!! with Mayorga. You know why because HE CANNOT HANDLE THE PRESSURE what do you think he will get from Baldomir?? you all know Mayorga is a loser,Forrest had a great time with Mosley and Quartey because THEY DONT put PRESSURE!!! sooo, he could land his jab often but Baldomir is dificult to fight, he throw lots of punches, and he will pressure all night, and in the last Forest fight he lost clearly that fight, he was very tired very quick, he doesnt throw combinations,All of you know Baldomir throws combinations, has a great chin and a great heart and thats gonna be the difference in this fight.Gatti and Judah are faster and defensive (specially Judah) than Forrest, and Baldomir could hit those guys and hurt them. Baldomir lost to Mayweather ?? of course he did, he is the best p4p.So stop writing stupid things here, and write the truth.Im a boxing bettor,nd make my living with this,so i know how to analyze every fight, but you Forrest backers look like amateurs.Good luck.Sorry to be so hard.

Don't know how you make a living on betting boxing with that kind of thinking. Forrest with an easy UD in this one, something like 118-110 by all 3 judges.

Albo you look like a moron with your 6 posts. Probably some SAF. If you win, you'll be here to gloat, despite never picking a winner here before. If you lose, on one will ever hear from you again. Your kind come and go and offer nothing to this forum during your brief stay.

1st: Who has more left in the tank? Baldy has taken his share of shots along the way. Though quite tough, Baldy is nobodies athlete, he is right there in front of you (a willing but easy target), he's a bit of a plodder, & he will open up. VF on the other hand has a well documented Shoulder problem, a couple of lessor Elbow hurts as well. VF has taken a few dings in his Career as well. Not as many as Baldy, but he's at least his calender age in professional years inside the Ring. So who has more left is a bit subjective.
2nd: Prolly more importantly than who has what left (though a Baldy cut, or another Shoulder hurt would decide this fight)...........is Distance. VF has a legit 2`` Reach (not wingspan, but true Reach) advantage. So if VF can box a bit, & use his pretty well healthy legs, I can see VF taking a close decision. Should Baldy control the distance, & continually engage VF at close-range, he will prolly enjoy an internal advantage, & Baldy testing (or tapping) that bad Shoulder & Elbow would not surprise me along the way to another close decision.
VF is the taller guy, and if he were 100% healthy, I'd give him the mild Voltage edge as well. Baldy does have an Experience edge, but Resume` is nearly the same. These guys have fought a total of 80 combined bouts. Only being stopped once each.
I wanna see how the Decision outcome props pay. But a UP is on my mind as well. I envision this one going the Distance.

To me, this one is all about 2 principal things:
