I think that you should consider posting your ideas a bit more concisely. There may be some who feel you are drowning out other arguments with sheer volume in just about every thread on this board. It has to be clear to everyone here by now that your side in this one is Josh Clottey because that's where you see value. Personally, I'd like to read other opinions without having to wade through your waves of repetitive argumentation.

I respect your opinion, but I don't see anyone else complaining. I don't "argue", I make points. I never degrade another poster. I think my posts speak for itself, I make points and listen to others point of view. It's what this forum is for, if you had an issue you could of been respectful enough to send me a private message.

Again if you follow my posts, it's in response to what someone has said to me, it's what makes this forum so great someone makes a point and you get to make yours in return.

Next time please have the consideration of private messaging me if you have an issue, especially since your post wasn't boxing related.

Use to be the same in hockey and is the same in soccer

Soccer and boxing plus MMA are the only forums I post on the regular and this is the reason why

I think cotto wins but at that price no play

but did take not do go the distance for +150 for 1 unit GL

I should have said, I don't think Clottey should be considered at the top of the rankings and he will exposed for biting off more than he can chew.
 
Think Cotto is a cut above this dude.

Here are my final thoughts on this fight:
-People are definitely not giving Clottey enough credit here.  Cotto obviously has better boxing skills, but Clottey is no slouch.  He was beating Judah badly, and I'm of the opinion that he would've stopped him soon if not for that cut (he should've gotten a TKO anyway, as we know).
-Clottey looked better against Margarito than Cotto did.  Cotto was winning early, but Margarito broke him down.  You can't claim that Margarito was possibly cheating in that fight without admitting it could've been the case in the Clottey fight too.
-Jennings was no test.  We don't know how Cotto will react in his first real, hard fight since being beaten down.
 
That being said, I really believe this fight is too close to call.  In cases like this, I'll take the value.  Small bet on Clottey for me at +290 with my local.

LetMeSpin, why should that quote terrify me?  He's a man, and that's something a man would say.  He's not there to lay down.  If Cotto is going to win, he's going to have to earn it.  That's what I take from that quote.
 
Good luck nc1.  I just put $10 on a draw at 20-1 too.  I think it's a close, close fight.

Yes that's why he's at -400 now :) I agree this is Clotteys biggest test, I hope us boxing fans are treated to a war.

Actually your seeing a HUMBLE man, he never trash talks any fighter. Also realize he said he considers himself UNBEATEN and if Cotto does beat him he will be the first guy to beat him fair and square.

In a way he is right he was destroying Baldomir and was DQ, and he had a hurt hand in training went and took the fight with Margarito anyways plus everyone states Cotto only lost because of the loaded gloves, Clottey doesn't use that excuse, he went the distance (assuming loaded gloves + hand injury) he is undefeated.

Now talk about Cotto, he trash talked yesterday saying he wants to see how Clottey takes his punches.. I believe it's Cotto he has seen the Canvas before... and has TOO Much confidence (or an act).

Clottey is a master manipulator, he is like Pac-man he almost sucks up the to guy and then when the bell rings all bets are off. Then after the fight they give praise.

Cotto needed Clottey because he feels he can beat Clottey(otherwise it was Mosley and would have to be a PPV), could he of taken a lesser opponent?

NO when you've reached the Status Cotto has in Boxing, you can no longer fight tomato cans. (Jennings was justified as he took a beating from Margarito, every man deserves a tune up to get his confidence back). But a PPV with Michael Jennings..unjustified!

Clottey talks nice but this is what he really had to say (in the link below) This is from a Good NY Sports writer who is picking COTTO.

I feel Clottey is a live dog, and can pull this out. Since taking between +270 and now +290.. I feel it's worth it.
