I am not betting it but I think Cotto will win...so as far as confidence (or the fact that I refuse to lay -300 on someone not named Manny Pacqiuao) I guess I am not confident enough to bet it but my pick in the fight is Miguel Cotto
Thanks for the honest pick! These days I wouldn't lay the chalk on many fighters Floyd and pac-man are two men I know that will always show up and never take a dive!
Not many fighters out there who are "Chalk-able fighters" :)
I can see why many would take Cotto by decision, chalk is high, MSG and a home crowd for Cotto, he is the more known fighter, and Clottey does tend to give away rounds by playing defense. We know every close round will be given to Cotto.
I just wanted to see if anyone would lay the wood on Cotto to win at -350 or higher.
I would still go with Clottey, Cotto at -350 gives Clottey less than a 25% chance at winning and I feel that is FAR from the TRUTH.
Plus what bothers me is the line is so high, he will be at the Puerto Rican Day Parade, does he think he will be in a day at the park? Does he know something we don't?
If any of Clottey's past fights are a road map to what this fight will be, I cannot see a guy attending a P.R Day Parade after being in a fight like that!
MY dad loves boxing, he's also cynical he says the scorecards are already made up it's why the line is so high and Cotto took this fight, and that Clottey is from Ghana and he could easily take a dive.
I on the other hand, feel the opposite, I just feel Cotto picked the wrong opponent style wise for him, why the line is so high I don't know. Every one here agrees the line is too high, and no one can explain why.. I feel Clottey would be the last to lay down after coming this far and having the stage to himself.. no way will he lay down.
Question still burns in me, what is driving this price so high, I believe everyone in this forum is VERY knowledgeable and knows more than the average Joe... yet we all agree .. why such a high chalk line?
