I'd love to make the big play on CAL (vs MTL), I really would.
But I can't.
...As much as MTL stinks.
...As much as "Johnny Football" sux
Something smells phishy.
According to an article I read,
somehow, don't ask me how...
(again referring to the article claiming so...?)
MTL has a minute benign statistical possibility (@3-11 ??)
to make the playoffs.
I dunno. Like wtf.
Matters not.
- I see MTL as a team that has nothing to lose.
- I see what woulda/coulda/shoulda have been an all-star QB
who immaturely let himself be blinded by all the big bright shiny lights,
got his behind kicked sideways, 6 ways to Sunday...
but wants to rejoin planet earth and play ball,
do just that. Play ball.
(He's hit rock-bottom and got nothing more to lose.
Either he fulfills his destiny or he will be filling the shelves at Walmart).
I think he shows up here.
I think everyone else on this team does too.
It's a spotlight game and this lacklustre group desperately want to shine.
I also think CAL might be riding a little too high on their laurels
since locking down their playoff rights recently this season.
Yeah, another win will grant them home turf,
and surely that is what is motivating them to play for.
But this game is not critical in doing so.
They have many other chances of opportunity.
Yes, they surely seem eager by showing up a day early
in visiting their upcoming rival,
but they, (like Johnny Football), may be blinded by the big bright lights too.
As much as CAL looks to be the "NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
of the CFL, is as much as CAL has choked like the CIN BENGALS
when it come to crunch time.
One of these self-sabotaging teams will prevail.
The question is which one ??!!
I believe it will be the one that has no where left to go but up.
I think it will be MTL.
Don't get me wrong here.
I'm not G-d. I can't predict the future.
All I'm saying is take the points and pray.
In my long illustrious career of sports wagering,
I have come to realize the philosophy
that the more uncomfortable the wager,
the more likely you are going to win.
Play smart.
Play from the gut not the heart.
It's a low wager for me.
