back to the selective approach in cbb....last few days have been bad in cbb, good in nba, time to slow it down in cbb and do what i have been doing in nfl, cfb, nba.
i am taking eastern kentucky +15. this is a team that ended my hot streak and started my bad run. hopefully they will end my misery in cbb today. they have the talent, the depth and good track record after a loss. virginia commonwealth is a very good team but i count on the look ahead situation here as they play their big rival old dominion the up coming weekend. good luck.

cal was one of those teams that i lost betting against during my bad run. they are a good team, but this is their first true road game and i do not expect a good shooting team from s.barbara to shoot as badly as uci did @ cal the other day. cal finally started missing their free throws in their last game and that is not a good thing for them going to their first true road game. i was impressed with cal sb effort in losses against 8-1 colorado and 5-1 utst, playing without their best scorer. once he came back they neat sdsu and they also played very competitive basketball on the road against ucla. they are coming closer to get a win against a PAC 12 team and with this being a rare home game against a P12 school i see it as their best chance in a while. santa barbara +3

new mexico state is talented and year after year they bounce back well after losing to new mexico. they are also a team that has not lost three in a row in almost two years and they faced that situation 4 times during that period. they lost three games this season, all three by single digits. they have that ability to keep it close in losses. last season they lost 10 regular season games, 7 of those 10 by single digits. two years ago 8 of their 9 regular season losses were again close, by less than 10 points.overall, in 23 of their last 26 regular season losses they stayed withing 9 points of the winner. as always, i can only admire gonzaga and what they do year after year. they are still a very good shooting team despite losing two powerfull offesive players from last season, but with a trip to western virginia coming up for them i will go with new mexico state +13.
