&#xD;&#xA;Your average official makes less than 50K per year (pending game/travel per game.)  Figure MOST crews do NOT get paid to travel to these games- especially regular season games.  It is a contract job.  Contract also means NO EMPLOYER/EE INSURANCE.&#xD;&#xA;After all of that you don&#x27;t think a referee will fix a game to make extra buck?  When a computer is a wifi connection away with dozens of online books at your fingertips?&#xD;&#xA;Quit complaining about getting axed by refs.  All of you know they are more than well off to fix a game with nobody even twitching.  YET you whiners bet on it anyway.  Either put a bug in the official&#x27;s pregame dressing room or shut up.

Ill tell you what.....being an Illini fan......2005 championship between unc and illinois was horrible absolutely horrible.....the refs let sean may do whatever he wanted.................also last week...syracuse vs ohio state.... i hate syracuse but what another con job against the cuse......dont these officials get evaluated ...we are talking about the most important games of the college bball season......wow

agree completely, boy how things have gone in the tank since that shining moment of a season, wow!! While we&#x27;re talking bad refs, how about all the b.s. calls Stanford got last week vs ILL ST. At least 4 bad calls, all in favor of Stanford, which impacted the outcome of the game. ILLY ST might be playing THU in the title game if not for that nonsense. I know it&#x27;s old news but just saying. Wishing everyone lots of luck the rest of the week

I didn&#x27;t even bet this game, but several that I have bet this year there have been some awful calls that have literally changed the momentum of the game. There should be a better system in place for end of the game calls that can change the entire momentum. I&#x27;m not sure what it is, but in fairness they have been going to the monitor more often to make sure they got it right. These college athletes work too hard to have their moment taken away by a questionable call, whether it is shady, or just bad.
