UAB takes the lead 47 - 45  with 12 m left

With 11 mins left the only significant fouls would be players with 3.........2's are insignificant  now....

UAB has 2 guys with 3;   UNT only has one guy with 3

UAB now leads 49 - 45 at timeout with under 11 left

They are dominating the 2H  outscoring UNT by 22 - 8.... a lot of those are FTs

But UNT regrabs the lead 50 - 49 .....

But moments later UAB gets it back, up 51 - 50

UNT on a 12 - 6 run late

Looking at that  possibility closely.....

Contrasting styles: inside games vs. outside game.

While it can be noted that Hawkeyes are statistically the highest scoring offense in WNCAA, it should also be noted that they played the majority of their games in a weaker conference (BigTEN)  than South Carolina (SEC).....and South Carolina, playing in that tougher SEC conference put up one of the best defensive numbers in the country!

seems likely that will b the storyline of the game

in particular if iowa can get hot from the outside

but what if they don't ??

Yeah, good point.   They would be sunk in that event.  They MUST HAVE OUTSIDE SCORING  for any chance to defeat South Carolina (save for some fluke like injuries and/or heavy fouls against SC)

they seem to get that shooting almost consistently   but they dont often face a defence as good as south carolina
