Ok but right now we are talking about overrated players in division 1 college basketball, We r not judging players that are overrated in the mind of an nba scout for christ sake.  And it's an absolute sin to think that a guy who is completely dominating a prestigous conference such as the ACC is overrated.  Hansbrough leads the conference in scoring, leads the conference in rebounding, is second in field goal percentage, and he shoots over 80 percent from the line which he makes a living at.  Professional analysts such as Doug Gottlieb and even Mr. Duke himself, Jay Bilas, rave about Hansbrough and both consider him the national player of the year. Without Hansbrough on Carolina, they would most certainly have atleast 5 losses.  They would have lost to Florida State on the road, they would have lost to Clemson at home, and they would have lost to Georgia Tech on the road.  If you watched any of those games, Hansbrough completely took over in each one when the game was on the line (which is also why i believe people are sick when they think Ty Lawson is more valuable than Hansbrough to Carolina). 

I think Hansbrough's lack of flashiness and his 100 percent effort at all times actually makes the general public think he's overrated.  The general public seems to be in love with flashy players who have all the talent in the world but don't carry that rep of "hardworkers" (O.J. Mayo, Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon). The general public sees a player who is hustling his ass off every single play as players who are lacking in talent to keep up with their competition but make up for it by working so damn hard.  These are the modern day Steve Wojciechowski's and Lee Melchionni's that exist in the college basketball world.  But Hansbrough is a combination of great ability and hustles his ass off each and every play.  He's a division 1 college basketball coaches dream when u combine his ability, dominance, and how he never ever takes a play off.  These types of qualities make him a special player at the collegiate level.  This guy is not even close to being overrated, he is simply a leader and a winner, yea that's right a WINNER.  You want to know what leadership is? leadership is diving on the floor for a loose ball when your team is up 22 points with 2 minutes to go in the ball game and then screaming when ure team regains possession.  If you watched the N.C. state/Carolina game on Wednesday night, you would know what I'm talking about.  If you're a division 1 basketball coach and r trying to make the best possible collegiate team this year and you wouldn't want Tyler Hansbrough starting at power forward? Then please stop reading this message now and run to your nearest phone and dial up a reliable psychiatrist who can stop u from injecting that I.V. into the veins of your forearm night in and night out. 

Saying Tyler Hansbrough is the most overrated player in college basketball is probably the single most stupidest thing I've ever heard in this forum and trust me I've seen and heard it all on covers.com

I am tired of hearing about Beasley.....Good players dont let their team lose to Texas Tech and Nebraska......He is a great player but damn his dick is in everybodys mouth...He is very Overhyped

To say that Tyler Hansborough is an idiot tells enough right there...U lose all credibility when you say something stupid like that...Somebody that is breaking ACC records is far from Overrated...I have no clue why you dumb asses can not get it through your head that no one is saying that Hansborough will be any good in the NBA because he will not...He is too small to bang with the big boys...

You obviously don't watch much Texas basketball. Abrams has been a spot up shooter his entire career at Texas. He just this year developed his shot off the dribble. DJ Augutin and Abrahms don't mesh well??? That is why most analists and coaches say that they form one of the best backcourts in the NCAA this year

Barnes the worst coach in the country...hahaha. Texas has been one of the most consistent teams in the country over the last 5-6 years. You sound like another Texas hater.
