Everything lining up as a money play for this game. Reverse line movement, revenge game, trends, matchup, etc....
The first thing I want to talk about is the revenge factor in this game and how poorly Northwestern played in the first one. Northwestern lost by 9 in a game they should have won pretty easily. I believe if Northwestern would have won that game they would be favored by about 5 in this game instead of a pick. (Moved to -2 since by sharp money - Public favors Penn St).
Northwestern shot 3-26 from the three point line in the game. That quite simply, will not happen again. They are not the greatest 3 point shooting team in the country by any means, but 23 missed three pointers for any team is not something you can bank on.
The next thing to look at: Penn State scored 17 MORE FREE THROWS than Northwestern 17! Take away half of that and the winning margin is gone. Again, you can not count on Penn State outscoring Northwestern by 17 from the charity stripe.
Northwestern is going to come in focused knowing that the last game got away from them and they should have won. They have been shooting well of late and I believe they win here tonight in blowout fashion, even on the road.
The next angle to look at in this game. Northwestern is motivated. They know a win in these last two games will secure a bye. They have something to play for and want this game more.
