far superior point guards.. are you serious? Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, Russell Westbrook, Darren Williams, Chris Paul. Those are the best young point guards that come to mind. I fully expect John Wall to join that elite group right away. The only one of those who finishes at the rim like Wall is Westbrook. He has been the projected no. 1 draft pick for 2 years now. He is faster than Rose, faster than Evans, faster than Williams, faster in the open floor than Chris Paul.
OK Dwight Howard, the best center in the world, would be a tough matchup for Cousins. I would love to see it though, and we will soon enough. Going back to the topic of this thread, I will take Cousins over any big man on the Chicago Bulls. 2 years from now he could be right up there with Howard, among the best centers in the world.
And by the way, Kentucky would have been a NIGHTMARE matchup for Duke. I'd like to see Jon Scheyer guard John Wall. They wouldn't get nearly as many open shots against UK as they did against WV. If UK shot anywhere close to their season average in the WV game and did the same against Duke, they would be champs. Do you think they would have played Butler down to final posessions? It would have been a fucking blowout. All of that is debatable and the fact of the matter is they missed their first 20 three's of the game and deserved to lose. But they held WV without a field goal in the entire first half and dominated them on the glass. They weren't heavy favorites to win it all going into that game for no reason.

anyone who takes kentucky is just plain dumb, for 1 thing how is kentuckys bench going to play against a nba bench? welli have the answer for that they will get absolutely dominated.Worst team in nba would beat any college team by at least 20 points,What everyone fails to understand is just about every player in the nba was a star in college

DUDE! STOP! TIMEOUT!
you are clearly letting your thoughts race without your brain joining you...
do you not get what the problem is with this argument? Derrick Rose IS a great NBA point guard... Chris Paul IS a great NBA point guard... Rajon Rondo and Russell Westbrook ARE very good NBA point guards...
NONE OF THEM WERE GOOD NBA POINT GUARDS WHEN THEY WERE IN COLLEGE! NONE!
just like John Wall is NOT a good NBA point guard today... and therefore he would do only one thing if he were playing in an NBA game today, against one of those great point guards... he would get fucking embarrassed...
how clueless are you to even suggest anything otherwise?
it's a simple argument... John Wall has never played a fucking second in the NBA, and his 48 minutes in the NBA he is not going to be ANYWHERE CLOSE to the level of Derrick Rose... Rose will make him fucking cry on the court...
what are you thinking!?

silly argument but.. Wall and Cousins match up with anyone in the NBA, and Patterson would somewhat hold his own. But the depth of any NBA team would be way too much. And West Virginia exposed their shooting ability. I don't necessarily think the greatest college team of all time would get blown out by any NBA team. Last year's UK team was obviously far from the greatest college team ever.
lol@patterson somewhat hold his own are u fucking crazy, patterson will be lucky if he gets 5-10 minutes a game in nba next season

Rose didn't get fucking embarrassed when he started out in the league at 20 years old, and neither will Wall. He produced right away and played a huge role in getting the Bulls to the playoffs. He didn't get embarrassed by Rondo in the playoffs, they traded punches. He was a good NBA point guard 6 months after he played in the 08 final four, at which point in time I would have said the same thing about him.. this guy would match up with the best PG's in the NBA right now. He possesses rare talent/athleticism today just like he did when he played in Memphis. He didn't just become that good in the off season workouts right before his first year in the league.
Of course Wall will learn and develop in the NBA, improving in areas. But 8 years from now he will be doing the same spin move down the lane, and getting no higher above the rim, or blowing by guys any faster than he did when he played for UK. The year before he came to UK he built his reputation on the AAU circuit, dunking on Jerry Stackhouse, playing against street legends at Rucker Park. He would have been the number one draft pick at age 19, had he not decided to go to college, and he's STILL the number one draft pick today. Of course he will have to learn the nuances of the pro game and adjust to playing at that level.. but he there is not a steep learning curve with him, according to Calipari. John Wall is one of the brightest, most athletic and talented basketball players on the planet and to say he would get "fucking embarassed" by ANYONE is blinded judgement. What's embarassing is your comments.

Against Taj Gibson or whoever it would be guarding him from the current Bulls' roster... YES I believe Patterson would somewhat hold his own. Demarcus Cousins would MORE THAN hold his own.

Nice thread full of plenty of dumb shits. Is this game with a 24 second shot clock and a deeper 3 point line. If that's the case Chicago wins by 45-60 points. If the game is on a college court they win by 35-45 points.
Joakim Noah would dominate the boards. Derrick Rose would make John Wall look stupid. This game would be a laugher. Sometimes I wish they would do shit like this just to appease the morons who think something like this could happen.

Of course you will get playing time if you're drafted by the Nets, T-wolves, or Wizards.

even if you take away the benches and just have them play 5 on 5. bulls by 30. if you include the benches, bulls win huge. 110-50
its like the same question, usc or the st louis rams?
the fresno state bulldogs or the baltimore orioles?
college teams don't have the coaching or the mindset.
especially since you picked a team of freshman. i think syracuse has a better chance, with the mind game, but rather than lose by 60, cuse loses by 40.

i cannot believe a living human being with functioning brain cells can possibly be trying to argue this...
i never said Rose got embarrassed... but Rose also was not an allstar NBA point guard when he stepped on the court for his first game, and neither will John Wall...
i mean, this thread is talking about an NBA playoff team, which beat the Cavs, losing to a college team that didn't even make the final four...
LISTEN TO ME! THE CHICAGO BULLS WOULD BEAT THAT KENTUCKY TEAM BY AN AVERAGE OF 40+ POINTS... AND WOULD NOT LOSE TO THEM NO MATTER HOW MANY MILLIONS OF GAMES THEY PLAYED...

well, i don't know if Wall would get embarrassed by Rose... but Rose would be the better player on the court...
thing you gotta think about is this... Joaquim Noah is basically a role player in the NBA... he was fucking dominant in college... just a star... that entire Florida team was all stars... but when it's all said and done, there was only one guy on that team that is a STAR in the NBA... and that is Al Horford... even Horford isn't an allstar... just a star player...
and that Florida team is on the short list of the greatest CBB teams of all time...
the 1991 UNLV example is the same... only Larry Johnson was a star at the NBA level... Anderson Hunt (the MVP of that team in their championship run)... couldn't even make an NBA team...
we look at college teams and think, wow, they are so loaded... and maybe they even have 3 lottery picks and 4 first round picks... great!
doesn't change the fact that those college teams in their entirety will never be composed of 5 guys who are all NBA-ready and are all actually going to pan out in the NBA...
to suggest that a team with those qualifications could beat a fully-loaded NBA team is just total nonsense...
