Along w/ SC having massive talent and/or size advantage at each position, SC’s starters have logged half the mins of IU’s who clawed back in dogfight vs OU on Monday while SC had extra day of rest to boot. Hoosiers win vs OU was heavily buoyed by their home crowd, absent today.

Novel, nervy territory for both programs here. Marquette and their fast-paced opponents had 40 threes go through the net in their first 2 games and Wolfpack also saw 20+ threes made in their last game which needed overtime to barely get over the total.

Both are top 5 nationally in 3 pt % since conference play began while both are bottom 20% in county at defending the three. Zags are top 40 nationally in transition offense and Purdue is bottom 25% nationally in transition defense. Zags bigs are much more undersized than what Edey is used to in Big 10 (they were able to get away w/ it in small WCC) so he can have a field day if Zags try to hone in on top 3 pt shooting team in country. Offensive strengths and defensive weaknesses all align beautifully here.

Creighton seemed to figure things out offensively at end of half w/ ball movement for open 3’s and transition. Vols look very limited and got bailed out by some surprising strong shooting from Ziegler who’s mostly a distributor to Knecht and Vescovi who is sorely missed here.

Both teams' offenses were catalyzed by their home courts for every game to this point. Sycamores had one of the most favorable pace schedules in the country this year and didn't face a team with equal or more size than Utah who will be wise to utilize it more than usual here. That size advantage and focus should, in turn, slow this gm down more than ISU would like. I'm more confident in Utah taking this approach and not allowing run 'n gun for full 40 mins, due to this being a pseudo-road gm for Utes in Indy. 7 ft Carlson is their best player anyways. @bookie_crushers

I think we're getting some value due to overall records here. Seton Hall is much less battle-tested having played all games to this point in their adjustment-demanding small campus gym where they needed OT to get past St. Joe's. St. Joe's is worse than any of Georgia's opponents to get here, 2 of which they went on the road and beat already. Georgia also has an extra day rest/prep advantage under their belt. Pirates haven't played outside of the comforts of the NJ/NY area in an entire month. @bookie_crushers
