NJIT has moved a point. 2 very similar teams according to KenPom. Might be worth a shot to take a look at

Not sure how I missed this one...
Temple from +1.5 to -1. Currently sits at 63% on UCONN and more on UCONN ML. The betting trends seems to have been slightly going back and forth but majority throughout the day was on UCONN.

I've got mixed feelings on UConn-Temple. That's one I first noticed last night. UConn is 1-7 on the road, and Temple has beaten some of the best teams in the American at home in Wichita State and SMU... SMU after losing to them by 16 on the road, a similar scoring differential to their 15 point loss at UConn.
On the other hand (curious what Red's feelings are on this) I've grown to distrust games such as this that flip almost immediately after opening. I prefer lines that hold for the most part and gradually drop as we get closer to tip.
Also worth noting that while Temple flipped to -1 and has held there, the money line has dropped from an opener of -120 to -115 for the Owls, while the UConn money line has moved from +100 to -105 (Vegas consensus).
In games that are close to a PK, I've speculated the books might move lines back and forth across zero to attract money on both sides. Will be interesting to see if this crosses back in the next couple of hours or if it holds.

Oops thought you guys were talking about playing uconn, And caps right the spike in the line movement happened before some of us even went to bed last night. The score when they play in Connecticut has me a little apprehensive, at Publix right now tho so haven't done much more research. Will look more when I get home

So after tightening up this system I've noticed a HUGE difference in hit rate. After going on a 4-9 run I decided to tighten my range and its paid dividends. By this I mean I'm looking for a MINIMUM of 1.5 pts of movement. It's resulted in less plays but is currently going like 9-2 with the two losses being a 7pt favorite (stick to homedogs when you can) and Delaware which only had .5-1pt of movement but I liked everything I saw on kenpom, sometimes this system is smarter than I am. There were even 2 (Cornell & SE Louisiana) that I passed on cause I just couldn't pull the trigger that hit.
Not trying to toot my own horn just trying to make a point. If you're going to follow this more or less blindly just tighten up and look for AT LEAST 1.5 pts of movement.
Also I think its tough to get truly accurate info on %s so I use two different sites that sometimes differ so I look for them both the line up and say the samething. Those sites are sportsinsights and scoresandodds. I've found comparing the two sites to be incredibly helpful.
Hope everyone finishes this season strong!!

Those charts on sportsinsights are great. I hadn't seen those before. The % data is appears to be the same as Action Network (which would make sense, since Chernin Group bought and merged the two).
I've been using VI, SI, and Action Network. I've been really annoyed by Action Network not having any form of "trend" view, though, and had been resorting to saving the page as a PDF a few times a day to create me own (duct-tape) version of one.
Gonna start looking at the two together going forward. Thanks for sharing, Red!

I cross reference sportsinsights with scores and odds as well; gives a truer picture of %'s I think and narrows the number of qualifying plays. Looking forward to applying this to CFB come September and also going to track it for baseball this season since I can't pick my a*se in that sport.

Ha - I just stumbled onto them. On the desktop version of the site, click... free trends at the top > NCAA Basketball Trends. Running down the page there's the list of games and ticket %. The right-most column has charts with line graphs for spread movement overlayed onto area graphs showing ticket % over time. Nice little visualization... my eyes glaze over sometimes looking at trend data on VI.
