well stealing is different.there is nothing worse in this world then a sneak and a thief but some people have no choice.gl im on sparty also i was just fucking with you a lil.
See I understand someone stealing because they are poor and have no other way to get something (in their eyes) But AJ Price had a full ride to college, free meal plan, money provided for road games, etc... he has absolutely no excuse... neither did Marcus Williams

Like I said before, if you don't think this happens everywhere, you are being naive. I have pretty strong connections to KU and that program is squeaky clean, but ask any student about the bball players and the books and they will have stories to tell.
So show me one Kentucky basketball player... that has recorded 0 credits... over the past 2 years

first of all it dont matter what sport. arrest is a arrest. second the crime that these kids did was peanuts compared to the guys they left behind in the hood. i bet you they learned there lesson quick. i know how it is to leave you hood and go to school somewhere else. its hard to get that mentallity out of your system. i came from a ruff erea and fucked up my free ride to a nice school. i played some of the best players in my erea and gave them hell. there was a guy named todd lichti he was my nemesis, we went at it for 7 years. he had a 4.0 grade point avg. he went to stanford and was a star. he then went to the nba. i gave this guy hell. i ate his ass up year after year. we where good friends. and he told me, "man you should be at a big school". and after he went to the nba, he told me "man you should be in the nba" .. i never tripped on that, he probably was just being cool with me because we competed so hard againts each other, but believe me i know how it is to come from the hood, and bring those ways with you somewhere else.

woop again, this is worrisome how obsessed you are about this...
i'll preface this by saying i really dislike Calhoun and the program itself needs to be punished, its getting away with too much...
i don't have any documentation, b/c i'm not sickly obsessed, but the fact that you don't think this happens elsewhere is just ridiculous - i promise you an incredible amount of bb players get away with waaay more than your regular college student - 75% are not there for school
also, i know you are only allowing CBB, but FSU (an acc school) is a big offender
again, to think most major college sports programs and their players don't get away with bloody murder is silly, you are acting like uconn is the only school to violate rules and law amongst a bunch of law abiders..but there is documentation on it so they do need to be punished

This is the normal in the NCAA half these kids probably have been pushed through every grade and every class just because of there talent and it does not teach them much about life however it does give you a very good athletic program so my question is what is more important, smart educated and well mannered men or winning a Basketball game? Until the NCAA decides which is more important to the world than we will continue to see shit like this happen and it is a crying shame

I think it's badass that Marcus Williams had the balls to steal a bunch of computers as the star of a high profile basketball team. If I were a point guard going to the NBA, I would never risk it to make a couple bucks stealing computers. But Marcus Williams did, and I respect that.

Wait, didn't Price's dad play at UPenn? Is he really poor and trying to get money to get by? I find it hard to believe a guy who went to Penn is doing so bad in life and still living in da hood. I might be completely wrong, but I thought thats who his dad was.

Please you put the blame on the athlete or UConn. You fail to talk about the biggest PIMP outside of Hugh Heffner, NCAA. These kids are person that generate the money but receive nothin. Not to sound crass but this a classic pimp-ho system. How many Thabeet, AJ Price or Robinson jersey's are sold in the book store with no proceeds going anywhere near their bank account. How much money does Uconn generate for the school, Calhoun said 12 million.
Let me guess they receive an education wow you think the Robinson or Thabeets would have went to school if that unconstitutional rule of 1 year in college before you can enter the NBA draft. Let me guess Statistics 101 or 12 million dollar contract over 3 years. Cut it out wit that academic argument.
In closing, I love college basketball but the marriage between NBA age rules an the success of the NCAA's product is a conflict of interest which is unconstitutional. At 18 a young man can vote, smoke an got to war and jail, why do you have to play one year in College, something wrong with that picture in America.

You also can die in a war before you can have a legal drink. Those men do a lot more than sell a jersey. I don't see anyone crying them a river. Life on mainline PA or Storrs, CT, is way better than their life in the hood and a life of crime to be able to survive.
Its also not as bad as college football where its 3 yrs, so don't cry too much for them

DUKE

I have plenty of friends playing in the minor leagues... that got drafted... probably a lot higher than you did. And they aren't morons like you with atrocious spelling and grammar. You make yourself look like an idiot. Oh yeah, it is pretty obvious you never made the big leagues if you are writing on covers, so enjoy pushing carts at the grocery store for the rest of your life

I agree with you they should be able to leave after high school if they want that is their choice. But they "could have left after 1 year" But Thabeet and Robinson have both been there for THREE years.... HMMMMMMMM
