Just got my paycheck yesterday and lost it all today. All jokes aside, this is the ugly truth and warning they give us about gambling , not a pity party but what was your worst beat ever?
my son is on his iPad playing and doesn’t know what just happened. I pray I get rid of this demon once and for all.

Don’t bet your paycheck on gambling dude especially if you have priorities. Learn to have fun with it and not as get rich scheme. Have proper bankroll management.. don’t ever get out of line on going all in if that means your entire bankroll or worse waiting for your paycheck to clear so you can gamble it all away.
most importantly you still have your kids.. I don’t have kids.. not just yet. But if I did I wouldn’t risk losing it all for my child. Maybe it’s better for you to step away if reality is sinking in.. remember you still live to see another day with your loved ones.

Yeah I work too hard to give it away to the books, all those ups and downs and I think winning was the worst thing I ever experienced. It tricked my mind thinking I can keep doing it
reality is deff setting in but I’m grateful to still be working, just wanted to vent. Chasing “easy” money isnt the way.. I wish you guys the best in life man.

Only set aside what u can afford to gamble.....I once made top 64 at a bowling event out of a couple thousand, got a check for 3500 and gave it to the casino when i was only 19. Ill never forget how dumb i felt looking into my checking account and seeing i had 180 dollars to my name. EVERYONE has done it, its how you adjust and LEARN from it.

Basketball is a dangerous game to bet. You'll be alright my dude, stay strong, focus on your kid and being the best father u can.
I feel for you bc I've been there myself. Just another lesson learned. Sometimes the only path out of hell, is walking straight through it and making it out stronger.

Look man, here’s the only way u can bet and gambling… U bet all sta8 bets 1st. 2nd you only try to win 1play per day. 1bet a day. U bet same amount on every sta8 bet,
100$ on ur best play today, tmrw, etc…. Don’t try pick every game on the board, —Look at it this way, u just need pick 1 winner a day, and you don’t have to bet everyday…
money management, & Discipline are the 2 biggest factors in sports betting

Been there done that...but I only wager what I can afford to lose. Take care of your family and your son. Maybe step away from betting for a while? If you can't stop, ask your self if you'll be able to provide your son with shelter and food. Good luck.

Ever know someone who was as happy having one or two drinks as the alcoholic? It’s learning to measure the high. I bet almost every day. I don’t expect to win and I follow sharp people, read up, listen to a gambling network .. it’s harder to beat this than the stock market and it’s not even close. Try to reduce your risk to get your fix .. work yourself down and see how it goes.. or try challenges like a fantasy football league where you just play for a entry fee after 15 weeks.. keep reaching out anytime including a message to me if you’d like
Good luck and don’t blame yourself, we are all weak at times

First, I am sorry to hear of your mistake, which has cost you a hard lesson. The guys in here are giving good advice from their hard lessons too -> only bet what you know you can easily afford to lose....otherwise no bet.
If you MUST have action for the rush/thrills roller coaster ride, THEN BET SMALL ONLY!
I am not an addict by any means. I can and have often walked away without issue, though I understand this is difficult for many..... Personally I do enjoy the challenge of capping, which is a fun pastime for me in my retirement. I certainly don't need the money with 3 pensions that cover all my expenses and plenty invested (spread through DOW and S&P which is doing very well now!) nor am I consumed with being greedy for even more money. I believe this is key -- being content in your financial space so that gambling will only remain as a fun pastime....
As for my worst beat ever, I have several BAD BEATS in my day (as has everyone else) but I have a tie for the worst:
around New Years in 2007 I remember losing my entire BR at the time, rolling it all onto a -18.5 home fav in College hoops....I think it was either Irish or Badgers ON HOMECOURT playing a small loser division school they should have dominated easily.......they lost in a freakish upset that stands to this day.
Then that infamous day on Feb 05, 2017.... I stupidly got gawdam dumbphuckn greedy and foolishly decided I wanted an easy $500 profit by risking$7,500 moneyline on a LIVE BET "sure thing"...... It was late in the 3rd quarter and my team was ABSOLUTELY **DOMINATING** THE GAME in every respect, leading by a whopping 28 - 3 over the downbeaten New England Patriots..... 25 pt lead late 3rd Q!!!!!!..... the rest is folk lore for the ages....

Bostonkid, Its pretty easy to get hooked on this shit, especially now with all the non stop ads on tv and radio. Its insane. When i started it was more underground and was a little harder to find bookies. Now you can basically get them by opening up the yellow pages (thats just a joke) The rush of the action and dreams of getting rich betting, makes it easy to get hooked. I have been doing this shit for 45 years and even thou i have won some years and lost other years, it really hasnt been fun for years and instead became more of a daily habit. The time that i wasted doing this in the 45 years that i could have been doing more fun things i will never get back. So many holidays that werent fun with family, cause too busy checking scores. Crazy. The biggest thing thou, unless you are amongst the 3-5 percent of all gamblers in the world, your really not gonna be able to live off gambling winnings and dont believe the people that tell you they are. Look if you want to get rich, get a good job and put money into long term investments and let returns and interest make you rich. You do that for 30 and you will have way more cash in your account, then you could ever get gambling. Everything in gambling is stacked against us, especially the vig which really is hard to overcome. Good luck to you
p.s. dont ever believe touts win, cause if they did they wouldnt waste their time trying to sell picks. They would sit on the beach, make their bets and collect their cash. They sell picks to feed their own degenerate gambling habits.

Man . Hate to hear that! How about lower bets down to $10 a game. Have fun with it and hopefully make some money . I have been there . 10 years ago. Needed money for my moms birthday dinner. Blew it all away. It was sad
