LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska offensive lineman Teddy Prochazka has suffered a season-ending knee injury for the third time in four years, coach Matt Rhule announced Tuesday.

The 6-foot-10, 315-pound junior was in line to be the starting left tackle. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Monday during a one-on-one drill.

I really like game 655 if you like that I have a game in the NFL.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The NCAA announced a four-year show-cause order for former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh on Wednesday for impermissible contact with recruits and players while access was restricted during the COVID-19 pandemic, effectively banning him from college athletics until August 2028.

The NCAA said Harbaugh, who left his alma mater to coach the Los Angeles Chargers after last season's national championship, "engaged in unethical conduct, failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance and violated head coach responsibility obligations."

The NCAA had already put Michigan on three years of probation along with a fine and recruiting limits after reaching a negotiated resolution in the case.

Texas A&M running back Rueben Owens
is expected to miss the entire season
after suffering a significant lower body injury
during a scrimmage Saturday, sources tell ESPN.

Owens earned SEC All-Freshman honors
during his true freshman season last year.

Baylor

Baylor head coach Dave Aranda signed Toledo transfer Dequan Finn this year to replace Blake Shapen who transferred to Mississippi State.

Finn Rocket has passed for more than 2,000 yards in 3 consecutive seasons and should fit in Waco this fall.

Hurricanes

Washington State Cougars star QB transfer to Miami, replacing inconsistent Tyler Van Dyke, gives Canes a serious shot at a playoff berth.

Orange

Get a top recruit QB transfer from Ohio State, Kyle McCord, and should improve upon their mediocre 6 - 7 record from 2023, likely by at least 2 games.

Blue Devils

Riley Leonard transfers to Notre Dame. That's a big loss.
But gains very talented transfer Maalik Murphy from Texas, and I believe they don't miss a beat, and should reach another 8 - 5 record this season.

OTOH, we have to wonder if Leonard will handle the extreme pressure to produce big numbers for the Iriah!

Very difficult schedules?

GATORS are going to be in very tough, maybe the toughest in CFB.  However, a lot of talent and experience should help them vie for a playoff.

Yellow Jackets

will face at least 7 teams that should be ranked this season,  the most of any team.

TROJANS

It will be quite an achievement indeed it USC can win more than 8 games this year facing the arguably 2nd or 3rd toughest schedule and without their top QB!

BRUINS

USC's crosstown rivals won't fair any better as they too face a very tough schedule, ranked 4th toughest.

Vandy

Don't have much hope for Vandy winning more than 3 games this season and their 5th toughest schedule doesn't help!

Not so sure they are warranted that with a change in coaching and all those player transfers

Boilermakers

have a very tough schedule and even their winnable/tossup games are on the road so who knows, but I would be very surprised if they win 5 games.

GEORGIA BULLDOGS

once again have a VERY TOUGH schedule (rated 6th toughest) but BARRING UNFORSEEN KEY INJURIES should be up for the task and earn a top 4 spot this season.

Houston

New head coach too. They draw a pretty tough schedule and I would be very surprised if they reach Bowl eligibility
