Are the Baylor Bears the "Real" Deal?

Baylor will take down OU that Thursday night in early November. This game and the OSU game at Stillwater are the only two games they have a chance at stubbing their toes. Have a very uneasy feeling about this game in Manhattan. Maybe because it's their first game away from Waco. But they are a fantastic team and Art Briles is an excellent coach. Would hate to see UT try and take him away but it is his alma mater'. Would love to see how he would do in NFL some day.

As an old high school coach...I love Art Briles.  He's no pretense, not a politically correct horseshoe....he's a damn football coach.  A Texas football coach from the Texas high school ranks which makes him special in Texas.  (Understand Texas HS football is HUGE)

Pros....Noway.  Again I repeat he's a Texas high school coach who can win at the college level.  Yeap, Big Texas will come talking.

I hope Baylor has a great year the rest of the way...then Texas or someone else can make their pitch.

Wouldn't surprise me he says nope....happy at Baylor.

They beat k state pretty good last year. Isn't the word on the street that this year's baylor team is better than last year and that k state's squad this year is worse than last year's?

They are def for real. Looking at the schedule the game that sticks out to me is @TCU. The reason being is, TCU has a defense that is playing better right and will continue to get better. As will the TCU offense with Boykin growing up a bit. Baylor has a 4 game stretch Oklahoma at home, then home against Texas Tech, then @ Oklahoma St, then @ TCU. TCU is a tough place to play when ur ranked in the top 10 where Baylor might be if they win out till that point. U might see the crowd storm the field in Fort Worth.
