I'm not "blind" to Bama's past, I know what they've accomplished. Just referring to the common "Bama is the best (1 loss) team EVER!" that everyone and their brother was posting last year.
They meet up with a team, who apparently has no business being there, and lose and the excuses after ensue. I was more going towards just the OSU/Bama match-up, and Bama deserves the #2 spot even with a loss......but, the QB play will need to better for them to roll this year.

I agree to a point.. They don't need better QB play as they're need better play calling to overcome the QB problems.. The way Kiffin has called plays on the road have been really good for the offense and Coker.. Except last week vs MSU, he threw the ball was to much! Then when he goes to Henry, the big man rips off 200 yds in 3 Qs.. Just keep the throws safe and take the occasional deep shot and run the dang ball.. That is Bama!! They play Elite defense and grind it out on offense.. Everybody hates Kiffin, but the dude is a helluva OC! He can get 1 on 1 match ups better than anyone I've ever seen.. That OC for tOSU was a stud too.. What he did vs Bama with those misdirection runs to the weak side was smart as hell.. But it was the Buckeye defense that won them that game and the Title!! They had the best defense in the country the last 6 weeks of the season! Was very impressive!! The Bama defense was not good last year, I think we all know that.. And realistic Bama fans would admit we was happy to just be in the playoffs.. Did we expect to beat tOSU? Hell yeah!! But after watching them handle business in the Title game I knew we had walked into a buzz saw.. Congrats, and I hope we get a rematch this year

The committee has ex-coaches who are all old schoolers. Only one committee member under 50 years old. They think if your team isn't committed to rushing the ball and on the other side trying to stop the run, then you're a gimmicky team with no character, or whatever older people think about the changing game.
Alabama is a throwback style team. You can 'bolt on' Kiffin's passing plays, but it doesn't change the core of who they are, what they try to do.

Relax_Dude..... You need to relax, dude. Lol... I don't have to step back to see that Coker (I call him Choker) is a terrible QB.. But so was Greg McElroy, and AJ Mccarron, and definitely Blake Sims.. But they all have rings, and Sims came up one game short of getting one as a starter. You guys talk about QBs like there are plenty falling off trees in other conf... Lmao, there are 10 QBs in all of CFB that are "game changers".. 5 will get a shot in the NFL, and 2 will be lucky to be there in 5yrs. That's the way it works.!! A lot of these QBs throwing for 500yds are doing so against pure shiit defenses.. Bama doesn't need a great QB. They just need a guy that manages the game and doesn't turn it over. Coker throws to many picks, but the good thing is, he's battle tested with that and if he throws a pick in a big game, he will not fold under pressure. I am not a full blown hater like some of you guys are. I do not respect the ACC because it's a terrible conf. But every other conf I respect and call it like I see it. And like I said, Bama would be in a war with tOSU or Oklahoma, other than that I don't see another team that can beat em.

If tOSU comes out and smokes MSU by 35 and then Mich by 14-20, and Bama squeaks by AU and UF, then you gotta say tOSU is the best team.. Fact is, teams play well one week and then like crap the next.. I had a coach tell me one time, "you're only gonna get the teams A game once or twice a year.. So you better be deep enough to win with your B and C game".. A lot of you guys don't wanna give the SEC respect cause your tired of hearing about it, but to play Ole Miss, Arky, UGA, A&M, UT, LSU, and Miss St, and to play 4 of them off of bye weeks... That's a tough schedule man!! You give me the team in the top 10 that would play that schedule and not have 1 loss?

Then the folks that think this is the Bama defense from the last 2 years, they will be surprised to find out different.. But of course they will blame their offense for having a bad game.. Lol... I will remind you after they play a spread team of caliber, or a QB of caliber, since Miss St plays in a phone booth like LSU did.. And Dak Prescott is just another clueless QB that can't hit the side of a barn.. Lol...
